Amazing, Just Amazing!

I had a crazy experience today...something that has never happened to me before! I drove south on 51 through Forsyth and didn't stop once! This never happens. Those stop lights in that town are ridiculous. They are never all green when I go through. I usually avoid Forsyth at all costs, but today was coming from Clinton and had to go through. I guess it's my lucky day. I should have bought some lottery tickets.

We had to go to Clinton to take Kalee Jo to the doctor. Don't worry, nothing is broken!! She has had a cough for the past three weeks that was just not getting better. Last night, she was laying with Matt and coughed so hard that she threw up twice. Then, she didn't sleep most of the night. So to the doctor we went. She has another sinus infection. Her second in 2 months. She is now on antibiotics for the next 21 days. She is just getting up from a 4 hour nap, and is feeling a little better I think. Poor thing has circles under her eyes.

I am addicted to the Biggest Loser. I find it very inspiring. So we watched that last night. I am afraid that if that Joelle girl doesn't get kicked off soon, it will be like Chloris on Dancing With the Stars last season and I will be so annoyed I won't be able to watch it any longer! Oh my God!!! The lady is ridiculous! She should have taken the money and left when she had the chance. Peyton likes to watch it too. She thinks it's fun to work out and exercise. We do crunches and push ups while we watch. But during the weigh in, she cracked me up. One woman was weighing and Peyton says, "wow, that lady had big boobs. Big, big boobs!" Now where she got that from I have no idea. I don't know what her father and uncles have been teaching her. It certainly wasn't from me, at least I am nearly 100% positive that I don't make a habit of commenting on people's boobs.

Peyton was again super excited about the snow. I have convinced her that her cowboy boots will work for outside snow playing. However, with Kalee sick and the temperature being -42 degrees, she is upset that we can't play out in it. I have convinced myself that this time I am a responsible mom, not a boring or annoying one. Maybe in the next few days, Matt will be home and one of us can stay in with Kalee while the other plays outside with Peyton.

We had a ladies Auxiliary meeting Monday night. We are planning another Trivia night for April. Mark your calendars and make up your teams. 6-8 people. More information will follow once we set the date!

Cross Canadian Ragweed is playing at the Sangamon County Fair...June 19. I'm pretty sure that's what Tara told us. Great band, one of my favorites. So I will be needing a babysitter...just planning ahead. It never hurts! Good times for all!

Half marathon update...4 miles today

  1. Remember that Peyton loves Aunt Mindy when you are looking for a sitter :) I'm sure Dougie can help as well if needed!

  4. Well Tara, I suppose I could throw one more little one in on the deal as long as we teach her that I am "Auntie Min" and she loves Doug.
