4 Months

We have been in the house for four months now. Four months ago, Matt deemed it done...enough...to live in. So we were moving stuff, going to a tumbling recital, going into labor... Since that day, not much has gotten done toward finishing the house. My biggest fear and the thing I told Matt I wouldn't be able to handle.  He says calm down, he has a plan. So, until his plan goes into effect, I will focus on this...I LOVE my house. Love that I picked everything about it (well, except for the roof, but we all know how I feel about that decision).  My favorite things in here are my kitchen, could it be any more awesomer?!  Especially now that my stovetop works!  My bathroom...yes, I go the few extra steps every time I have to go to use MY bathroom.  The one I know won't have pee dribbled on the seat or a stepstool on the floor to stub my toes on. I realized yesterday as I was giving the girls a shower...its big enough for all three of us, me in my clothes, to give...

This ones for you Goo Goo!

Once again, I have failed Goober as a sister in law.  Good thing he has Tara to depend on... In case you didn't know, he writes a blog...http://lifeintape.blogspot.com/...check it out.  It's funny.  He's sarcastic.  He is straight. And for the record, I added Life in Tape to my sidebar...where it for some reason had gone missing.  It was still on my blog roll, so I didn't notice this. Sorry Goober...I will try harder in future to not insult you, call you bad names, hurt your feelings with the truth, and be insensitive (does that cover all of our problems with each other?!) Love you Goober, you are my favorite Brother, except for Tyler...

First Grade!

First Grade!  How did that happen?  How is my Peyton Mae old enough to be in first grade?  It's so cliche, but time does fly. Crazy. She did great!  Dropped her off yesterday and she went happily. Came home on the bus and told me about her day.   They walked around the school learning the school rules. She was so disgusted...she learned that in Kindergarten!  The best part of school so far...she gets to check out TWO books at the library this year!  So awesome!  And after two short hours, has declared that Mrs. Walker is just as fabulous as Mrs. Ryherd was...which I already knew!! Got on the bus for the first time this morning to go to school. Was very excited and would have stood out there for half an hour waiting if I had let her!  Took some pictures...will have to post later. So...things I am loving today...that she gets on a bus with the same driver who drove me to school and goes to a classroom with a teacher who coached me for 4...

My Plan...

My new plan: Last night...I set out my work out clothes.  Right by my bed. My ipod was set to play my favorite playlist. I set the alarm for 5:15...an ungodly hour...but really didnt plan on getting up until 5:30...giving myself a 15 minute snooze time!  Giving myself a blissful hour and a half of alone time for exercise and getting ready for the day before the usual 7-7:30 that the girls wake up (yes, I just used blissful and exercise in the same sentence!) This morning...the alarm went off.  I snoozed. Then got out of bed. Got ready...was tying my shoes... Maggie's plan: I like mommy the way she is...I will wake up at 5:35 and ruin her plan. Success for Mags...(hard to be mad at such a cute face)  But half success for me (who is not happy with mommy the way she is and plans on changing that!)  Once Maggie ate and fell asleep again, I could spend some quality time with my treadmill. We will try again tomorrow.

Back to reality

Baby bliss is officially over starting tomorrow.  It's back to reality...I am going back to watching a few Kiddoes. Mae starts back tomorrow.  Then Baby Dakota in October.  The girls have one final day left of summer vacation.  I guess that's not really true. Peyton has one day left. School starts Wednesday. Kalee has until after Labor Day. She is super excited about Mae coming!  We got shoes and backpacks today. I got them twinkle toes...the shoes I think are hideous, but they are so super excited about. They don't light up...I draw the line at light up shoes!  Hate them!  Meet the Teachers tomorrow. Of course Matt has to work. Boo!

McTaggart Sisters

Megan was home for a week. So we had a little photo shoot in the sprinkling rain. It was also a little hot...especially for me. Trying to take pictures and be in them is rough. A 10 second timer isn't really all that long... These are my favorites... I have pretty sisters!!!

Crazy, exhausting weekend

Image
It's been a crazy weekend. I'm exhausted. The girls are exhausted (8:00 and still sleeping...). Peyton turned 6 this weekend. 6 years old!! I can't believe this. Time really does fly... She had her first friend birthday party. We had pizza and swam, plus enough sugar that I'm sure the girls' parents are not happy with me today! I think she had fun, though next time, I will not spend the previous day at Festival Days, and the day before having another party, and the day before that busy as well. In the words of Heather and Jeremy, "Too Much Birthday!" Breakdown was inevitable! But all in all, I would call it a success and say that she had a good birthday. So here is my tribute to Peyton Mae Hinds...My little Doll. I love you! Birth 1 year 2 Years 3 Years 4 Years 5 Years 6 Years
