Goodbye 20's

Goodbye to my 20's...in a few hours I will be 30!! 30 and flirty and fabulous! Oh my...

Eyes, house, hearing, looking beautiful...

Peyton had her eye appointment yesterday. She did VERY Well! She didn't cry and played all the "games" that the nurses and doctor told her too! She usually is very afraid of them covering one eye for the tests, but this time she let them. The doctor says she is improving. The glasses are still helping. She has had them for a year now. She will keep these for at least another 6 months. Then she will probably have to get new ones. Her next appointment is in July. They always remember Peyton when we go in there. She is famous with her Red glasses! Kalee and I went mall walking today. I forgot how hot it is in there! I just can't believe these people walk around there in their carharts and winter coats. It's crazy! Kalee got to play at the play place for awhile also. She was the only one there and had a blast. She probably ran a mile just playing! Biggest Loser...Wow, I am annoyed by so many of the people...I guess the drama keeps me coming back! T...

Weekend

Image
We had a busy weekend. Friday, the girls and I went to Pawnee to give Nan a present. I have been making greeting cards and wanted to give her them. I am pretty proud of them. I made some birthday, thank you, miss you, blank cards...my Cricut is AWESOME!! (or my Ant as Peyton calls it! Ha!) If anybody wants some, let me know, I'd be happy to make you some. We ended up going to dinner with Nan and Pop at Los Agaves. Yummy!! Saturday, we went to Springfield to get the Hinds cousin picture taken with Molly Jo. They turned out pretty cute! I'll post them when we get them back on January 26th...a very special day!! Peyton actually smiled and cooperated this time. It was great! Molly was in serious mode. Tara says the only place she doesn't smile is the picture studio! We also went to Pawnee again for Matt to look at the staircase we are going to put in our house. We needed to measure it so Ryan can work it into the plans. It's going to be awesome!! Nan asked if the gi...

Maybe I am boring...

Not much going on today. I was going to take the girls to the Children's Museum, but by the time Kalee woke up (9:00) and they got tubbies and lunch, they were crabby. So they are now napping and I am thinking about cleaning more in the off chance that someone will call and want to look at the house. I am feeling very ahead of the game today. I actually planned for dinner tonight. We are having roast, potatoes, carrots, and homemade bread. The house smells pretty good right now! Did everyone notice that mom is on facebook now? Friend her! Matt bought me a birthday present. He wrapped it and it is sitting on top of our entertainment center. He says that I can sit and wonder what it is for 12 more days. He wrapped it so nicely...pretty wrapping paper and a matching bow tied around it. He even made the bow fancy. Sometimes that boy is just so nice...sometimes! I have been trying to get out of Peyton what it is, but she apparently doesn't know and Kalee just says it...

Interview, Kalee

Matt says his interview was "Eh, so so." It could have been better, it could have been worse. I bet all people feel that way after interviews. I know I always felt like it should have gone better. He was so cute this morning in his uniform. I tried to take his picture but he wouldn't cooperate. He can be difficult at times... Does anyone want to adopt Kalee for a few weeks and potty train her? I am so frustrated by the whole process. She has no desire. She just told me she didn't want to be a big girl, just a girl. She will sit on the potty for 20 minutes and not do anything, then get up, put on her mousy panties, and poop in them. GRRR!! I tried to watch Biggest Loser last night. But I had a migraine, so ended up going to bed. Plus, I really don't like the show with the weird doctor. I just want to see them work out and lose weight, I don't really care what their suspected real age is. I need to look up and see who was voted off. I don't h...

Random Thoughts for Today

Matt has his lieutenant interview tomorrow. This is the first part of his promotion process. He will have to take a test in March and has been studying for it as well. So send good luck vibes his way if you want!! I just finished watching True Blood season 1. Oh, the things I miss by not having cable!! I can't wait for Season 2 to come out!!! I also made play dough today for Peyton's class. I have never made play dough...it's a nasty looking thing until it cooks up into a solid. Learn something new every day, I guess! Kalee and I had to go to Sam's today. She had been watching Barney's Christmas Movie...in it, they talk about the different Christmas celebrations there are. Then they sing a song about all of them. So she was singing "Happy Kwanza, Happy Kwanza!" while we were being checked out by the black cashier. It was a little embarrassing, and also pretty funny. Not much else is going on here. I am looking forward to Biggest Loser tonight! Which remind...

Great Grandma Hatfill

Just got an email from Debbie. Please keep Matt's great Grandma Hatfill in your prayers. She has been sick and was taken to the hospital a few days ago. They have brought in Hospice personnel to talk to Grandma Richardson, Donna, and Harriet. Grandma Hatfill will possibly be sent back to the nursing home on Wednesday and will have hospice care there. She is very weak and her doctor says this is her body's way of shutting down. She is 99.

Playing and Parties

We took the girls out to play in the snow the other day. Kalee was excited about it...Peyton cried the whole time. It was ridiculous! I thought playing in the snow was supposed to be super fun when you are little. Peyton acted like we were torturing her by making her be out there, but when I suggested we go inside, she cried even harder. So let's just say it was not an enjoyable experience for most of us! Matt drug Kalee around the yard in her sled, she had fun! Here is Peyton getting ready...seriously, she cried the whole time. Didn't want to go outside, didn't want to stay inside. It's rough being Peyton (and rougher being her mom at times!) Kalee ready to go...she was very Ralphie like. Her arms didn't go down to her sides! Peyton went to her second friend birthday party yesterday. It was at McDonalds...YUCK! Never will I have a McDonalds party. I am sure it is good in theory...a built in play place, someone else cooking, serving, cleaning... But OH MY GOD!!! ...

Christmas 2009

OK, let's try this again...if I have time to play Farmville, I should have time to update my blog more often! We had a great Christmas. It was so fun to watch the girls open their gifts this year. They both were so excited. Kalee was especially excited. I got her this baby doll that crawls and talks. It is motion activated...pretty sure it creeps me out! Anyway, even wrapped, it still moved. She sat down next to it and it started moving. She jumped up and yelled "MY BABY!! SANTA BROUGHT ME A BABY!!" Then she ripped into it. The look on her face tells it all...she was in love with it! Peyton was most excited about her Strawberry Shortcake House. I think she got every piece of Strawberry Shortcake play set that they sell! I messed up with the wrapping paper. Peyton is too smart for me...I was putting it all away and Peyton says, "Why do we have the same paper that Santa used?" OOPS! I told her I wondered why that paper had been used, Santa must have had to bor...
