Love this!

I read a few blogs every day. They make me happy. I was reading one today and she had a tutorial on how to make a book out of your Blog! Blog Book Tutorial I love this idea! I love, love, love to scrapbook. And will finish and get up to date on the girls and baby...someday. I so want them to each have their own books of their lives. It's special for each of them! I mean who doesn't like a book just about you?! But I always think about how I don't have a book for our family...could have something to do with how Matt and I don't take many pictures of ourselves! So I think I might use this idea. Then I can have a Family Book...maybe the kids will one day want to read my random thoughts. Or they will wonder why I wasted my time and money on printing a book of randomness! I plan on looking into this more!!

Feeling Better

I've had the flu. Yuck. Thanks Adam and Kinze. Adam finally went back to school today after coming home Friday sick and being puny until yesterday. Kinze came in today and told me her stomach really hurts. I can only hope she feels better once she got to school. I can't clean up any more throw up...just can't do it. I'm happy to be feeling better. I'm just more tired now than before (can't believe that's possible...). Poor Kalee Jo has a bad ear infection.  Matt took her to the doctor Tuesday. Bless her heart, she never even complained about anything. She had a horrid cough... was staying up all night because she couldn't sleep, and has a majorly runny nose. The ear infection is causing her to cough, or so the Dr says...I don't know how that's all connected. But she is on an antibiotic and Zyrtec to dry her up. She seems to be a little better. Peyton seems fine still. Thank goodness. I finally feel like the house is moving fo...

Blogger Problems, and More Randomness

What's up with Blogger today? I can't view anyone's blog in it's correct format. I'm confused. Is it just my computer? I really don't have that much to say this week I guess. I have been writing random updates. So why stop now? Homestead... Septic Guy called yesterday. We are first on the list as soon as the weather clears, stabilizes, whatever. Shawn came out yesterday and verified where the Geothermal loops will go. Again...when the weather clears... On a side note, and to rub it in even more to Uncle Tyler...A story about Kalee Jo. Right now Kalee and her Uncle Tyler have a love-hate relationship. Kalee loves to hate Tyler. She ignores him at all costs. She won't look at him (which I blame on the beard and long hair...). She hides when he is in the room. If we are going to Grandma's, she asks, "will Tyler be there?" And if you say yes, she says, "hopefully he won't come, just Molly and Tara Jo!" On weeken...

Wednesday Notes

I went outside today...without a coat...and it was FABULOUS!! Melt, snow. MELT!!! Shawn is coming to look at where the geothermal system loops need to go. Yay! Hopefully HVAC inside work will be done this week! Peyton is sick. She came home from school with 102 temp yesterday. So she is hanging out with Daddy today. I took advantage of not having any little kids this morning and spent the day in Kalee's classroom. It was fun. She was excited that I stayed. They are a busy, busy classroom! We sang songs, read books, played, played in the gym (Frisbee and catch...I am tired from bending over so much to pick up frisbees and balls!  Bending is not so much easy right now!) We had a snack feast...I am finding out why they don't eat as much lunch these days! They eat a feast for snack...they had goldfish, pretzels, cheese sticks and milk today. Then we drew a picture, wrote some words and headed home. I think my new Heroes are Preschool teachers. 20 3-4 year olds.....

Random Tuesday

Image
Yesterday was Valentine's Day. So I got to go to Kalee's class for their party. They were playing in the gym when I got there. She was running around half of the gym in circles. Made me sweat just watching her! But they were all having so much fun! They came back to the classroom for a Valentine story and snack. They had two cookies, chex mix, a cupcake, oranges, grapes, and a juice box. Basically a meal. She sat and ate nearly all of it. Then they got to look through their Valentine sacks. She thought it was pretty awesome.  Peyton also came home with a huge bag of valentines and candy! She wouldn't let me take a picture though! We went to Chuck E Cheese Sunday night for Mae's birthday party. Here's the girls eating their pizza. I wish I could have gotten a picture of them walking into the place! Their eyes were as big as saucers and they were just looking around like it was a foreign planet. Guess I need to expose them to more crazy situations (something I li...

Two New Babies!!

Mrs. Ryherd, Peyton's teacher, is having a baby boy in June. She asked me if I would consider watching him next year. I told her yes. So now Peyton and Kalee have a plan. Well, it's really Peyton's plan. She loves Mrs. Ryherd. Loves her. So Peyton has informed me that she will be in charge of Baby Ryherd. She will take care of him. I won't have to do anything. Kalee can take care of Baby Hinds. I am stuck taking care of Matt. I went from two babies to one big one. Not my lucky day. I don't have the heart to tell them that they will both be in school. It may break their hearts.

Happy Birthday Mae!

Image
We celebrated Mae's 3rd birthday today. Had lunch, cupcakes, and presents. She is pretty excited. **mental note...don't fill kids up with juice and cupcakes right before nap time... They stop listening and go crazy. Lesson learned. Parties AFTER naps!

I feel like a broken record...

Things I say multiple times a day... Don't forget to flush! Did you wipe? Hands washed? Get your finger out of your nose! Hands out of your mouth Please! Don't run! I love you too!! No. Please don't say I'm not your Best Friend.  We are all friends. Get out of the bedrooms. Let's just get along! Mom or Dad will be here after work, don't worry! No fits...only happy smiles! Keep your hands to yourself! Talk in a nice voice please. Matt and I get to name the baby, but you can give me ideas.  (In response to a near daily fight/loud discussion over who gets to name the baby.) I'm not sure what's for lunch...I'll let you know when I decide though! We will have a snack when all kids are home/awake. Yes, you can have a refill. Can we use manners please?

Homestead Update

Image
When the weather is nice, they have been working on the roof. It is taking forever. FOREVER... I have a front door and a front step! The door will be stained dark to look like wood. Tyler has been plumbing also. I think he's almost done. I am so impatient at this point. I just want things to get done and I feel like we are waiting and waiting and waiting. I don't really think it will be ready by the time Baby Hinds #3 comes. But I hope to be proven wrong.

A story about Adam

Image
Mandy came to the house to work on sanding the stairs last weekend. (Thank you Mandy...I am so grateful!!) It was the day when the weather was really nice and things were starting to thaw. I know it's hard to remember weather like that after this week, and looking forward to next week! Anyway, the Homestead was muddy. We walked over to the house to look at her progress with Adam. He played outside while we went in and looked. We ended up in the basement and noticed the walk out door was open. We walked over there and Adam was sitting in the moat...it still hasn't been back filled, so there is a hole around most of the house still. He was sniffling and holding his socks. He could only get out that his feet were muddy. Well, by looking at his boots, we agreed, yes, his feet were muddy... (please excuse the blurry pictures, I don't know what happened...)  "NO!" he said, "his feet inside his boots were muddy!!!" He had gotten stuck in the mud and walked ...

I'm Pregnant...and stupid

I've been having some majorly stupid pregnant moments. It's just not fair that pregnancy makes you so stupid! I tried to balance my checkbook. Not something I should do when pregnant. I gave up and threw it at Matt. He figured it out in no time. I told Matt in all seriousness that EVERYONE reads from right to left. Then I realized what I said. I had him convinced for about 2 seconds, then he thought about it. I paid my bills and mailed them to myself. That was the ultimate stupid one. Good thing it was the ER visit bills and they don't have late fees. Ugh!

School is Back in Session!

HOORAY!! The kids are back to school. Peyton was very excited to go back. She missed her friends and Mrs. Ryherd. She told me. Kalee was a little upset she didn't get to go. But they don't have school on Fridays. She did get to see her teachers, so that made her happy! I am currently enjoying the lack of bickering from the older kids. Kalee and Lily are happy to play alone! We are going to go to Taylorville today with Debbie. Eating lunch and looking at furniture! I love looking at furniture stores! Kalee says we are going to buy her a new bed frame for our "building house". We will see what we find! I broke down and bought extra picture storage space on here. The whole Photobucket thing is annoying me and posts are a little boring without some pictures. So maybe tomorrow it will be all set up and ready to go. It was only $5...so I think I can swing it!

Things I want to do...Places to take the girls...

I want to take the girls to: the City Museum in St. Louis. City Museum!! the Aquarium in Chicago Shedd Aquarium!! (I want to take the train there!) I wouldn't mind going back to the Children's Museum on navy Pier while we are there! Chicago Children's Museum!! The Magic House Magic House!! Then, there's always Mexico...wouldn't that be fun to go to right now? Sit on the beach in the warm sun? Warm sun? A girl I went to college with went to Capri...It looks beautiful. She went to the Blue Grotto . It looks Amazing...AMAZING! Dreams...I should stick to my first ideas. St. Louis and Chicago are way more realistic than a Mexican Beach or Italy! Someday...

Snow Days

Well, I am convinced snow days are the devil. Kids should be in school in the winter. There is a gym there. A gym where they can run around and release energy. There are other people there to entertain. My kids are tired of me. They are tired of our house and our toys. Kalee wants the toys that are in storage. I just want my house so I can unpack all that's in storage!! I'm not stir crazy, I like being able to be home for a few days with nothing to do. Except there is always something to do... I tried calling the dentist office for me and the girls yesterday. All three of us need appointments. They weren't open. I tried calling the eye doctor. Peyton needs an appointment. They weren't open. Our laundry has turned into a mountain...you can't see the laundry basket anymore. There was no power...so no laundry could be done. Peyton has 4 pairs of pants left. Two that go with outfits she won't try on because "they don't fit right." ...
