Race for the Cure

Image
RACE FOR THE CURE was Saturday morning. Here is most of Team McT... I'm not sure why I didn't get any pictures of the team before the race. Bad planning on my part. Here is all the team, waiting to race, but not organized! We race in Celebration of NAN!! I love you mom. (you too Pop!) Ava looking sweet. Mrs. Clarke praying for a good race... Dottie, Teri, JoLynn, and Terah Our Real Men in Pink! All the kids got medals! After the race.   We had snacks and drinks...and a long rest! Kids It was a great event.  I think we will do it again next year! All for our Survivor...Mom!

Random Funnies

Peyton hurt her foot...No, not the super large stick of wood she got stuck in it last week...she was (in her own words) "just sitting in this chair and fell." However, ask Kalee what happened and she said, "She was on my bed and jumped off of it and jumped over my step stool and was trying to get into this chair..." Well, that explains how she got hurt! Anyway, Peyton was milking it for all it was worth. Finally, Kalee says, "Daddy, are we going to have to cut her foot off?!" That made Peyton rethink her whining! Kalee hit her funny bone this morning. It hurt, she cried.  We've all been there, you know how bad this hurts! I told her she hit her funny bone, did she know she had a funny bone? Peyton asked Daddy if he had a funny bone.  He said no, he's not very funny. Peyton, "Well, I am funny.  Really funny, so I have a really funny bone!" "Mommy, do you have a funny bone?" Me, "no, I'm not too funny either...

Don't you wish you were a part of TEAM McT and our Race for the Cure?? You would have got a fun goody bag! You can still join us... Go here for more information! I would even make you cookies if you wanted to join up! Feel free to think of us all Saturday morning while we are up at the crack of dawn to walk and run a 5K! Also, it might help if you wished for cooler weather!! I'm running it for my mom!

Me, a tripod and a timer...

Image
The girls were sleeping... I was bored... It was HOT outside... I didn't have any other subjects besides Harley... So I set up a tripod and played around with the timer on my camera... This is me. Things I learned... 10 seconds isn't that long of a time. I like how my brown wall looks. I also like my red furniture. It's hard to take pictures of yourself. The camera likes to focus on things other that what I want it to when the timer is set. I took a lot of pictures, most of them ended up blurry. I'm learning!

Stacey Ann...opinions wanted!

Image
So I took some pictures of Stacey the other afternoon.  Isn't she pretty? I think so too! (please disregard our awesome background...we were at the playground!!) Anyway...I'm playing around in Photoshop. What's your opinions?  Each picture is a different style. What's the favorite? {1} {2} {3} {4} {5} {6} {7} {8}

14 years ago today...

Matt and I have been a "couple" for 14 years.  14 years...that's nearly half my life! We went on our first date on May 10, 1996.  He is blown away that I remember the day.  We went on a double date with Sarah B. and JR.  HA!  JR drove.  Matt was still 15...couldn't drive me! We went to Taylorville and saw some stupid, stupid movie.  I don't remember the name, but it had Ricky Lake in it (of all people to remember!).  Then we went to Hardee's for dinner.  Drove back to Pawnee and walked around a park.  Oh the memories! Fast forward a month and a bit...We went on another date...probably again with Sarah and JR.  We were in Sarah's front yard getting out of the car.  I said something like, "are we dating or what?" to Matt.  His reply..."I guess if you want to."  Oh, the romance of the moment.  Well, I guess I wanted to...since 14 years later we are still going strong. And he is still just as romantic to...

Father

Image
Happy Father's Day to one of the best Fathers I know...We love you Matt!! Kalee, Peyton and Matt Matt and Peyton Mae And Happy Father's Day to my Pop...Who is also one of the best fathers I know!! And of course to Kevin, the best Father in Law in the world!!  (who I guess doesn't like to take pictures with me since I have none!!  I will have to change that!  Look out Kevin!)

Absolutely Beautiful

Random story... The girls and I were eating lunch yesterday.  An older couple walked by.  She stopped to say hello to the girls.  Then she told me I had two absolutely beautiful daughters.  {I agree...I think they are too.} Then she told me they look just like me.  That I wasn't too bad myself. {Wasn't too bad?  Didn't you just say my girls were absolutely beautiful?  Wouldn't that qualify me as absolutely beautiful since they look just like me?  I'm just saying...} Then the kicker...she told me I have nice eyebrows! {How do you respond to that?  Thank you?!  Never had anyone compliment my eyebrows...} oh well, I will take any compliment I can get these days, even if it is about my nice eyebrows!

Lounging at the pool on a sunny day!!!

Image
We went swimming at Fairview Park this afternoon.  The girls were unsure at first.  I don't think they liked all the people there, but soon they were having a blast. Kalee lounging! Peyton deciding if she really wanted to get in! Once they put on their life jackets, they were much more confident! Splashing! Poor Peyton won't swim with her glasses on.  She had one eye shut the whole time. :( Peyton was a swimming machine!  She was doing laps in the shallow end along the rope... Kalee is still napping...three hours later!  The best way to wear them out that I have found! It's a great pool, we will definitely be going back soon...even though I am a bit sunburned now!!!

Adam's T-Ball Game

Image
Adam had his second T-Ball Game Saturday...HOT, HOT, HOT Day for little kiddoes to be playing ball.  Hotter day for mommas, sisters, grandmas, aunts, uncles and cousins to be watching kiddoes play ball!  It was worth it though because it is the most adorable thing to watch these kids play!  Adam hitting the ball...No Tee needed for this inning! He's "the Number 3 Player"  or so he told me! Playing second..or whatever you would call the player between the first and second base players!  I guess 1 1/2? Kalee and Goofy watching the game...Notice Goofy is upside down..."that's because he's Goofy...he does Goofy things!" My favorite picture Another Favorite!  He wasn't too in to the game! Peeking at me! Getting the ball and throwing it to first! Making Pop proud...getting rid of the weeds on the field. Shaking hands The most important rule of the game? "HAVE FUN!!"
