Playing and Parties
We took the girls out to play in the snow the other day. Kalee was excited about it...Peyton cried the whole time. It was ridiculous! I thought playing in the snow was supposed to be super fun when you are little. Peyton acted like we were torturing her by making her be out there, but when I suggested we go inside, she cried even harder. So let's just say it was not an enjoyable experience for most of us! Matt drug Kalee around the yard in her sled, she had fun!

Here is Peyton getting ready...seriously, she cried the whole time. Didn't want to go outside, didn't want to stay inside. It's rough being Peyton (and rougher being her mom at times!)
Kalee ready to go...she was very Ralphie like. Her arms didn't go down to her sides!
Peyton went to her second friend birthday party yesterday. It was at McDonalds...YUCK! Never will I have a McDonalds party. I am sure it is good in theory...a built in play place, someone else cooking, serving, cleaning... But OH MY GOD!!! That place echoes like no other and kids like to scream...SHRILL, Horrific screams. Let's just say I had a headache by the time we left and a new appreciation for doing things on my own! Peyton, on the other hand, had a great time. She actually walked right in, gave Paige her present and started playing with the other kids. VICTORY!! She didn't cry, she didn't cling. It was awesome!
Here she is ready to go to the party. She wanted her hair curled so we whipped out her Hello Kitty blow dryer (thanks Aunt Kate) and curling iron. She was pretty proud of it!
The first anniversary of my 29th birthday is in 16 days!!! I think I will throw myself a party!!! Your first anniversary only happens once...right?
We leave for Mexico in 27 days!! Let the countdown continue! I am SO READY to go somewhere warm for 6 days!! Can't wait to be a part of Katie's wedding, spend time with my parents, and have my second honeymoon (that's really my first...). Never thought I'd say parents and honeymoon in the same sentence...HA!
We took Harley to the vet Friday. He had a tumor thing on his belly that we wanted to get looked at. And since I have cancer on the mind these days (sorry mom, to compare you to Harley!) I was afraid he had cancer. They did a needle biopsy and it is just a fatty tumor. Not a problem to his health. We can get it removed for $400...he will live with it!!!
Peyton looks SO old in that pic!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen is the party???!!!
