Random Thoughts for Today

Matt has his lieutenant interview tomorrow. This is the first part of his promotion process. He will have to take a test in March and has been studying for it as well. So send good luck vibes his way if you want!!





I just finished watching True Blood season 1. Oh, the things I miss by not having cable!! I can't wait for Season 2 to come out!!!





I also made play dough today for Peyton's class. I have never made play dough...it's a nasty looking thing until it cooks up into a solid. Learn something new every day, I guess!





Kalee and I had to go to Sam's today. She had been watching Barney's Christmas Movie...in it, they talk about the different Christmas celebrations there are. Then they sing a song about all of them. So she was singing "Happy Kwanza, Happy Kwanza!" while we were being checked out by the black cashier. It was a little embarrassing, and also pretty funny.





Not much else is going on here. I am looking forward to Biggest Loser tonight! Which reminds me that I really need to go workout downstairs...which means clearing path through the toys. The girls just got up from naps, so I guess I can make them do the cleaning up!





I wish someone would buy our house. That would make me really happy. Anybody know someone who wants a new house in Warrensburg?

This is Peyton the other night. She was so tired, but insisted on reading her books before she went to bed...this is the first page of the book. She didn't make it any further!

I Hurt

I hurt my back. It hurts bad. I can hardly nod my head without it hurting. I don't know what happened. But it hurts in case you didn't get that. I took some drugs and have been laying on a heating pad, so it is feeling a little better. I need to run, but just don't know if that will happen tonight. This puts a cramp in my training! Day 2

Day 2 went just as well as day 1 of Preschool. It seems too good to be true! Oh well, I'll take it! Peyton went right in and did her "jobs" (putting away her bag, folder and picking her drink). Then she went to play with a puzzle and read a book. No tears, no clinging, AWESOME!! Kalee was upset again that she didn't get to stay. She kept saying I want to play with the tractor puzzle at school. So she and I spent the morning playing outside. It's so funny how happy she is once we get home. I think she loves not having the competition for the toys or the bossiness that is Peyton telling her how to play! She had every baby out and every stroller with them. Plus, her tricycle, 4 wheeler, shopping cart, firetruck... I have a new TV obsession...Melrose Place. Sad, but true. I watched it last night and am hooked. Can't wait for next week! There may be a problem though...I think it is at the same time that DWTS is going to be on. Speaking of DWTS...di...

Sunny Monday

We had a fun day today. After Peyton got upset that Daddy and Pop were going to the ball park without her...it was a boys day...we decided to have a girls day. She told me that on girls days, you read stories and sing songs. Well, we haven't done any of those things yet, but we did swim a little in the freezing cold big pool. Then the girls swam in their little pool. They both brought their babies to the pools, so they had fun. I put the solar cover on the pool as soon as I got them out of it!! It's amazing that they don't ever think the water is cold! Peyton sliding with her baby Kalee "swimming." She sat in this little bucket for about 10 minutes! We had lunch and the girls napped. Then we went to the mall play place. I gave them the option of the playground and feeding the ducks or the play place. Peyton wanted the play place. Really, I think they have more fun playing on the little cars that move when you put money in them. They don't even need them to...
