It's been another one of those days...
We have had a day here at the Hinds house. Kalee is being a whiner and Peyton is trying my patience! Kalee just doesn't feel good. She is on this medicine that is making her poop 25 times a day and they are all runny. I know, a lot of info, but I am totally grossed out by it. I think I have said before that poop is one of those horrible parenting responsibilities. I checked her diaper today by pulling out the back to look down in there. It was full...up past her crack and I stuck my finger right in it. Good times. She is also getting more teeth, so I am sure that is contributing to the poop factor. It also makes her have a horribly runny nose. So she is annoyed by me constantly wiping it. But I just can't stand to have her eat her snot. It is another thing that totally grosses me out. Especially when she sneezes and it gushes out all over her face. YUCK!!
~~~~~~
Peyton is just seeing what she can get away with today. I am convinced that she gets this from her Dad. I have told him that I was always a good kid, then I met him. He was not always the good kid. (sorry Debbie...just a fact). So Karma is a bitch and any badness they have in them is all his fault. She keeps trying to lift Kalee up and throw her down. She pushes her to the floor and jumps on top of her. She grabs things out of her hands. I swear the girl has spent more time in time out today!
~~~~~~
They were playing Duck, Duck, Goose and hitting each other so hard on the heads. They thought is was hilarious... So I just let them go. Plus Kalee kept saying Goose, and it was really cute. Some fights are not worth taking on. I am learning that...pick your battles! Especially with the two of them. And especially when Peyton is smarter than me. The other day, I made mini cupcakes for Kate and Steve, and gave Peyton and Kalee one. Peyton asked for another one for Kalee. I told her she had had enough, she is only one, so she only needs one cupcake. Peyton thought for about 2 seconds and said then I need three, because I am three. I should have thought that through a little better before I said that one!
~~~~~~
Peyton was going to the bathroom today and this was our conversation:
P: "I can't go."
S: "Just sit there for awhile until you do."
P "The pee won't come out."
S: "Just be patient."
P: "My pee'er is broke. Something is wrong."
I could just listen to her talk all day. It's amazing the things that come out of her mouth. Don't worry, it wasn't broke...she went eventually.
~~~~~~
Kalee and I didn't mall walk today. I plan on doing it tomorrow. We have been slackers. I just didn't wake up in time this morning to get things done. I have sleeping issues and have been tired. So I just kept hitting the snooze button. I think it's acceptable to be lazy every now and then. Plus, I was on the ball the night before and gave Peyton a bath so she didn't have to get up and have one before school.
~~~~~~
Well, I think it's time to give out the medicine for the night and maybe put on a cartoon. We can just sit and have a nice quiet cuddle time. Then it's off to bed for the girls and off to the treadmill for me!
"My pee'er is broken" Classic....i just wiped a tear from my face from laughing so hard.
ReplyDeleteWhat medicine is she on? Have you ever tried giving her probiotics? Depending on what medicine she is on, it may help. I agree poop is gross!!!
ReplyDeleteShe is on augmentin. What are probiotics? I've never heard of those. She has 4 more days of this stuff so I am hoping it will pass. She is really getting the double whammy with her teeth and the meds, I think. She has always had poop issues when she teeths. So actually Now that I think about it...maybe it isn't the meds at all and is really just the teeth.
ReplyDeleteI love the pee story...such a classic!!!
ReplyDelete"My pee'er is broke".... oh my goodness! She is just too funny. Smart too. I guess I better think like Peyton. Next time I make cupcakes I get to eat 23! :)
ReplyDeleteThats exactly what medicine I figured she was on. It gives diarrhea to ALOT of kiddos. They sell them at most stores. I think one of the brands is called Dan Active. They are in the yogurt section. They actually taste really good. Try giving her that and see if it doesnt help her alittle bit.
ReplyDeleteI will definately try it! I feel bad for her little butt! We need to go to the grocery store today anyway! Thanks Kari! I knew having a NP in the family would come in handy!
