GLASSES!!!!!


Well, here she is, Miss Peyton with Glasses. I think she is pretty stinking cute. She LOVES them! I am so glad!! When I told her they were in and we got to go get them, she started jumping up and down and screaming! Then when we got to the office, she was so excited. The nurse asked her what she thought, and she said, "Pretty!!" We immediately went to surprise Daddy at the firehouse. He has not seen her in any glasses yet since he couldn't go shopping with us. He thought she was pretty cute. The other guys at the house were good to her too, they all made a big deal out of it and told her she was looking good!

Then we went home to impatiently await Nan and Pop's arrival. She wanted to surprise them too, and had a plan all mapped out. She was going to hide in her room, behind the door. They were going to come in and say "Where is Peyton Mae?" Then she was going to jump out and say "Here I am!!" She of course would have her glasses behind her back, so they would have to ask her what she was hiding. Then she would pull them out and they would be so surprised!! Seriously, she told me all of that! Turns out, we were playing outside when they got here, so her whole plan was shot. I think they were pretty surprised anyway!

I am pleased with them. They are not as thick or as magnifying as I was picturing, especially since everyone kept telling me how they were going to be. You can tell they magnify her eyes a bit, but it's not distracting like I was prepared for. She is beautiful!

So here she is, only in the ones she picked out. She didn't want to wear the other ones yet. We'll see if I can get them on her tomorrow for a few pictures!

Plus, a sneak preview of the walls...if you look real close and can use your imagination... Matt is off all weekend, hopefully he will finish the stairway so I can finish painting and start cleaning up the mess!!

    Just when I think your little girls can't get any cuter... Peyton goes and gets glasses! What a doll! And Peyton would pick out the most stylish pair of glasses! :)

I Hurt

I hurt my back. It hurts bad. I can hardly nod my head without it hurting. I don't know what happened. But it hurts in case you didn't get that. Day 2

Day 2 went just as well as day 1 of Preschool. It seems too good to be true! Oh well, I'll take it! Peyton went right in and did her "jobs" (putting away her bag, folder and picking her drink). Then she went to play with a puzzle and read a book. No tears, no clinging, AWESOME!! Kalee was upset again that she didn't get to stay. She kept saying I want to play with the tractor puzzle at school. So she and I spent the morning playing outside. It's so funny how happy she is once we get home. I think she loves not having the competition for the toys or the bossiness that is Peyton telling her how to play! She had every baby out and every stroller with them. Plus, her tricycle, 4 wheeler, shopping cart, firetruck... I have a new TV obsession...Melrose Place. Sad, but true. I watched it last night and am hooked. Can't wait for next week! Sunny Monday

We had a fun day today. After Peyton got upset that Daddy and Pop were going to the ball park without her...it was a boys day...we decided to have a girls day. She told me that on girls days, you read stories and sing songs. Well, we haven't done any of those things yet, but we did swim a little in the freezing cold big pool. Then the girls swam in their little pool. They both brought their babies to the pools, so they had fun. I put the solar cover on the pool as soon as I got them out of it!! It's amazing that they don't ever think the water is cold! Peyton sliding with her baby Kalee "swimming." She sat in this little bucket for about 10 minutes! We had lunch and the girls napped. Then we went to the mall play place. I gave them the option of the playground and feeding the ducks or the play place. Peyton wanted the play place. Really, I think they have more fun playing on the little cars that move when you put money in them. They don't even need them to...
