First Grade!

First Grade!  How did that happen?  How is my Peyton Mae old enough to be in first grade?  It's so cliche, but time does fly. Crazy.

She did great!  Dropped her off yesterday and she went happily. Came home on the bus and told me about her day.   They walked around the school learning the school rules. She was so disgusted...she learned that in Kindergarten!  The best part of school so far...she gets to check out TWO books at the library this year!  So awesome!  And after two short hours, has declared that Mrs. Walker is just as fabulous as Mrs. Ryherd was...which I already knew!!

Got on the bus for the first time this morning to go to school. Was very excited and would have stood out there for half an hour waiting if I had let her!  Took some pictures...will have to post later.

So...things I am loving today...that she gets on a bus with the same driver who drove me to school and goes to a classroom with a teacher who coached me for 4 years. I LOVE moving home!

    Great post, but I can't help but notice there is a blog missing on your sidebar. Are you ashamed of your brother in law's life and the random stuff I talk about? I mean if anything at least I update my blog more than some of your others

I Hurt

I hurt my back. It hurts bad. I can hardly nod my head without it hurting. I don't know what happened. But it hurts in case you didn't get that. I took some drugs and have been laying on a heating pad, so it is feeling a little better. I need to run, but just don't know if that will happen tonight. This puts a cramp in my training! Day 2

Day 2 went just as well as day 1 of Preschool. It seems too good to be true! Oh well, I'll take it! Peyton went right in and did her "jobs" (putting away her bag, folder and picking her drink). Then she went to play with a puzzle and read a book. No tears, no clinging, AWESOME!! Kalee was upset again that she didn't get to stay. She kept saying I want to play with the tractor puzzle at school. So she and I spent the morning playing outside. It's so funny how happy she is once we get home. I think she loves not having the competition for the toys or the bossiness that is Peyton telling her how to play! She had every baby out and every stroller with them. Plus, her tricycle, 4 wheeler, shopping cart, firetruck... I have a new TV obsession...Melrose Place. Sad, but true. I watched it last night and am hooked. Can't wait for next week! Sunny Monday

We had a fun day today. After Peyton got upset that Daddy and Pop were going to the ball park without her...it was a boys day...we decided to have a girls day. She told me that on girls days, you read stories and sing songs. Well, we haven't done any of those things yet, but we did swim a little in the freezing cold big pool. Then the girls swam in their little pool. They both brought their babies to the pools, so they had fun. I put the solar cover on the pool as soon as I got them out of it!! It's amazing that they don't ever think the water is cold! Peyton sliding with her baby Kalee "swimming." She sat in this little bucket for about 10 minutes! We had lunch and the girls napped. Then we went to the mall play place. I gave them the option of the playground and feeding the ducks or the play place. Peyton wanted the play place. Really, I think they have more fun playing on the little cars that move when you put money in them. They don't even need them to...
