Weekend in the Burg

It's been a lazy weekend for us here in the Burg. Matt had the whole weekend off. Nice! He went to Menard's yesterday and bought all the stuff we need for our new privacy fence! I am so excited! So now in three weeks when he gets another whole weekend off, he will put up the fence! I really hope it discourages the super annoying dogs that live next door to us. If nothing else, at least I won't worry every time we are outside that one of the stupid things is going to jump the fence and attack the girls. I think Goober and Tyler have been asked to help. Good times! I'm sure the beer fridge will be stocked for the weekend.

I am almost done with my bathroom. One more coat of touch up paint and it is done! Matt hung my new shade yesterday, it looks nice! Way better than the towel hung by two push pins that has been there for the last 6 months! He started to hang my curtains in the dining room, but decided that I bought the wrong rod. So I went to the store and bought the next size down, brought it home and it, of course, is too small. So now I need to go back to the store again and buy the original size! That will be a nice errand for tomorrow. I can't wait to have my curtains hung up. I think they are perfect for the room! Matt thinks they are ugly. Oh well, he is never here.

I haven't been feeling well. I don't know what's wrong with me. I feel sick all the time. No, I am not pregnant. I wish. I took a 3 hour nap today and am feeling a little better after that. Who knows.

We had our garage sale in Girard Thursday and Friday. (Hence the new curtains!!) We sold quite a bit of stuff. I was just saying to Megan how funny people are at garage sales. I often wonder what they will do with the things they buy. I guess it's true that one person's trash is anothers treasure! Grandma gave the girls each $20, so I took them to Target and they got to pick out whatever they wanted. Kalee picked train tracks for her train set and a new baby doll (Yellow, like Tara Jo Burgess likes!!) Peyton picked a baby that can go in the water and a feeding set for the baby. I am not sure why we needed two more babies...I think we now have about 10, but oh well! They have been playing with them all weekend and are very happy about it!

Matt and Pop are going to St. Louis tomorrow. I got them a room at the Casino Queen (wow, what a nightmare. Most hotels are sold out...one offered me a room for $425!! Insane!!) so they are going to the home run derby, then spending the night , then to fan fest on Tuesday. I want Matt to take a camera for Fan Fest...at least to take some pictures for Tara!! But he probably won't. That would be too gay! They will have a blast I am sure!

Not much else going on here. We are going to have a super delicious dinner in about an hour. Roasted Chicken, baked potatoes, salad, and green beans. Yummy! Then I will probably let Peyton swim. She has been wearing her swim suit for two days wanting to. It does kind of look like it's going to rain though. We'll see.
