Tara Jo...

My Twilight obsession continues...I am almost glad Matt is gone for the week so he doesn't know how many times I have truly watched the movie already! It is probably slightly pathetic, but I don't care. I just love it!

We had a scare this weekend with Tara Jo. (of course Tyler is in Florida...) She got in an accident Sunday afternoon and was taken by ambulance to the ER. She is 8 months prego, so really it was all more for the baby than her, I think. They are both fine, thank god!! I don't think I have ever driven so fast to Springfield. Which, I know, is not the most appropriate way to respond after someone has had a car accident. Oh well. The girls were with Kevin and Debbie when Tara called to say she had been in an accident. They were in Carlinville, so started driving to the hospital and Debbie was calling people. Apparently Kalee was asleep, but ended up waking up. Debbie turned to her and said Kalee Jo, did you wake up?? Then Peyton spouts out, "well, Grandma, you were talking on your phone pretty loudly!" She was also talking on her play phone to one of her friends. She was telling them that "Tara was in a car accident and is in the ditch...could you please look for her at the hospital? She has blonde hair." She was worried about Tara Jo. She didn't want to leave the hospital, she wanted to go in to check on Tara.

Dad came over and sprayed for ants Sunday morning. He is awesome! He did like three things. And I am SUPER HAPPY to report that I have not seen an alive ant yet. There are some dead ones in the kitchen on the floor. I thought I would leave them for a bit as a warning to all the other ants...stay out of my house or you're next!! THANKS POP!!!

Because he sprayed so much, we decided to spend the night in Pawnee Sunday night. He didn't want Harley in the yard until it had rained, the girls can't go out either. So we stayed all day yesterday also. Gave Pop a haircut last night, then went home. I missed DWTS...I did see the Sex and the City guy dance. He is pretty good, but I don't really like him very much for some reason. Don't know why. Looking forward to The Biggest Loser tonight. Hopefully I can tear myself away from Twilight long enough...

I am trying to get organized for Tara's shower this weekend. That's my goal of the day at least!

    I don't understand this Twilight series????? Is it about vampires? How can that be sooooo good? Hope Tara is OK after her accident.

    Yes, they are vampires, but it's about love. I don't know...you have to read the books!

I hurt my back. It hurts bad. I can hardly nod my head without it hurting. I don't know what happened. But it hurts in case you didn't get that. Day 2

Day 2 went just as well as day 1 of Preschool. It seems too good to be true! Oh well, I'll take it! Peyton went right in and did her "jobs" (putting away her bag, folder and picking her drink). Then she went to play with a puzzle and read a book. No tears, no clinging, AWESOME!! Kalee was upset again that she didn't get to stay. She kept saying I want to play with the tractor puzzle at school. So she and I spent the morning playing outside. It's so funny how happy she is once we get home. I think she loves not having the competition for the toys or the bossiness that is Peyton telling her how to play! She had every baby out and every stroller with them. Plus, her tricycle, 4 wheeler, shopping cart, firetruck... I have a new TV obsession...Melrose Place. Sad, but true. I watched it last night and am hooked. Can't wait for next week! Sunny Monday

We had a fun day today. After Peyton got upset that Daddy and Pop were going to the ball park without her...it was a boys day...we decided to have a girls day. She told me that on girls days, you read stories and sing songs. Well, we haven't done any of those things yet, but we did swim a little in the freezing cold big pool. Then the girls swam in their little pool. They both brought their babies to the pools, so they had fun. I put the solar cover on the pool as soon as I got them out of it!! It's amazing that they don't ever think the water is cold! Peyton sliding with her baby Kalee "swimming." She sat in this little bucket for about 10 minutes! We had lunch and the girls napped. Then we went to the mall play place. I gave them the option of the playground and feeding the ducks or the play place. Peyton wanted the play place. Really, I think they have more fun playing on the little cars that move when you put money in them. They don't even need them to...
