A Nothing Day

Today was a nothing day. We did nothing. We didn't leave the house, even though I should have gone to the bank, bought stamps, gone grocery shopping, dropped off laundry at the dry cleaners...Oh well, I didn't feel like it, so I didn't! I did pick up the house and sweep (that's right, with the awesome vacuum...I still use it at least once a week!) I made supper...some Mexican stuff that Kate taught me how to make. Kalee had 3 helpings, Kate. She really liked it!

I made a picture appointment for the girls for tomorrow. It will be for Kalee's 2 year picture and Peyton's 4 year picture. HOPEFULLY it will go fine. But with their track record this summer of being around strangers, it might not. Keep your fingers crossed! They have cute little plaid shorts and tank tops to wear. Not matching colors, I hate when people do that to their kids (I have done it once, but only once...in a moment of weakness...I was clearly not on top of my game that day when I dressed them!), but they are the same style.

Matt went and got Peyton's birthday present from us today. We got her a bike. It is a Disney Princess bike. It's so cute. It has streamers on the handle bars, a water bottle and pouch, and training wheels. Kalee was looking out the window when he got it out of the truck and started yelling, "PEYTON!!! BICYCLE!!!" Luckily, Peyton was in her room playing and didn't hear it and Kalee forgot about it before she came out. So much for secrecy around this house! We are going to have a McTaggart birthday lunch for her on Sunday, then a Hinds lunch next week. She really wants to go bowling, so Matt and I are going to take her to do that on her real birthday. Her birthday always falls on a crazy time! I told her she was having two parties, and she said, but I want Adam, Ava, Lily Mae and Molly Jo Burgess to come to all my parties. I told her Tara had to work, so we are having two parties so she can come. She told me we would just invite Tyler and Molly Jo Burgess, they would come. I know, Tyler, I was shocked too. I guess the Alabama friendship remains. Sorry Tara Jo!! Once again proving that once you have kids, you don't matter any more...only the kids do!

Katie called today and says they are most likely getting married in February. Now they just have to pick the resort. Either Cancun, Playa del Carmen, or Riviera Maya. Which resort they pick will decide which day it is. I am pretty sure Riviera Maya is where Nan and Pop went last February on their Brandt trip...is that right guys? So now, of course, Matt is saying that we probably won't go on a birthday trip. GRRR...I knew it was too good to be true.

Has everyone looked at Kate and Tara's blogs lately? The pictures of Lily and Molly Jo are just so stinking cute!!!!

We are off to Festival Days in Girard tomorrow. Peyton is excited to ride the rides. I am really hoping Alex will be there and will still want to ride with Kalee Jo! They are buddies!

Kalee pooped again on the potty! YAY!!! Still won't pee. It's funny...Peyton was the exact opposite! (I know, fascinating stuff!! But this is my life. Oh, that's pathetic!!)
