Random thoughts

I am hanging out with Mae today.
She would rather hang out with the kids, and always asks if it's time to go get the girls now!
She broke my heart Monday (not really, it was more funny...)
She told me, "I like my Grandma Bonnie better than you!"
I said, "That's OK, you should like her better than me!  But do you like me a little bit?"
She answered with a firm "NO!"
Guess I need to feed her more Cheetos, that always makes her happy!

I didn't sleep well last night.
So I didn't want to get up this morning.
I kept waiting for that school reach phone call saying school was cancelled.
I don't really want it to be cancelled, I would rather have the kids in school and out of school on time, but I was being selfish...just needed a few more minutes to snooze.
Matt has put in for a month of paternity leave once the baby comes.
That will get us through the end of school with me not having to haul a brand new baby into school and out every day!
So keep those snow days away!

Matt is drawing my kitchen on the floor today.
I can't wait to go look at it and see exactly the space it takes.
I'm pretty good at visualizing how things will look in my head, but sometimes, it's nice to see it actually to size in person, not on paper!

Peyton went to school today in black leggings and a black shirt.
A regular length shirt.
It kills me.
I think it looks silly, but am trying very hard to let it go.
If she's happy with it and we can get through the morning without too much of a fight, then I need to learn to live with it.
Thank goodness Kalee still lets me dress her and fix her hair so it's out of her face!

Peyton did have a fit this morning which I happily handed off to daddy.
It's nice when he's home in the morning.
Gives me a sanity break.
Anyway, I was trying to get Kalee ready to walk out the door and she told me, "if Peyton doesn't stop that crabbyness, Santa will come take all her toys back!!"

Well, Matt just walked in with my kitchen plans...guess I need to answer questions.

I Hurt

I hurt my back. It hurts bad. I can hardly nod my head without it hurting. I don't know what happened. But it hurts in case you didn't get that. I took some drugs and have been laying on a heating pad, so it is feeling a little better. I need to run, but just don't know if that will happen tonight. This puts a cramp in my training! Day 2

Day 2 went just as well as day 1 of Preschool. It seems too good to be true! Oh well, I'll take it! Peyton went right in and did her "jobs" (putting away her bag, folder and picking her drink). Then she went to play with a puzzle and read a book. No tears, no clinging, AWESOME!! Kalee was upset again that she didn't get to stay. She kept saying I want to play with the tractor puzzle at school. So she and I spent the morning playing outside. It's so funny how happy she is once we get home. I think she loves not having the competition for the toys or the bossiness that is Peyton telling her how to play! She had every baby out and every stroller with them. Plus, her tricycle, 4 wheeler, shopping cart, firetruck... I have a new TV obsession...Melrose Place. Sad, but true. I watched it last night and am hooked. Can't wait for next week! There may be a problem though...I think it is at the same time that DWTS is going to be on. Speaking of DWTS...di...

Sunny Monday

We had a fun day today. After Peyton got upset that Daddy and Pop were going to the ball park without her...it was a boys day...we decided to have a girls day. She told me that on girls days, you read stories and sing songs. Well, we haven't done any of those things yet, but we did swim a little in the freezing cold big pool. Then the girls swam in their little pool. They both brought their babies to the pools, so they had fun. I put the solar cover on the pool as soon as I got them out of it!! It's amazing that they don't ever think the water is cold! Peyton sliding with her baby Kalee "swimming." She sat in this little bucket for about 10 minutes! We had lunch and the girls napped. Then we went to the mall play place. I gave them the option of the playground and feeding the ducks or the play place. Peyton wanted the play place. Really, I think they have more fun playing on the little cars that move when you put money in them. They don't even need them to...
