Mall Walkers

I am rededicating myself to my weight loss and get in shape mission. So I decided that Kalee and I would become Mall Walkers. We go to the mall on Thursday and Friday's after dropping Peyton off at Preschool. One lap around the mall is 2/3 of a mile, so it's a pretty good work out when you have 3 hours to spare! It is quite the social gathering there in the mornings. We are the youngest by far. I would say the majority of people there are over 50. They love Kalee and are always waving and saying hi to her. I just can't figure out how these people are walking around in their winter coats, jeans, sweaters, sometimes even gloves. I am in my t shirt and sweat pants and am sweating like crazy. Maybe the point isn't to work as hard as I am wanting to! I am also running 4 days a week. Matt and I are going to run a half marathon April 4. I was doing really well with my training until Christmas came around and I started slacking off. But I am getting back on track.

Peyton went back to school today. She wanted to go last night. She said we should get there early so she can get over being shy. I told her that might be a little too early. But she did great this morning. She went right in, did her "jobs" and started playing. I hardly got a good bye. So that's a good thing! (or at least that's what I tell myself!) Santa update...she hasn't mentioned him in two days.

Kalee's eye is looking better. She just has a greenish tint bruise at this point. She hasn't had any accidents worth noting in the last two days, so that is good. We got her a booster seat to sit at the table so we can put away the high chair. I made sure to safely secure the chair and she will always be belted in. I can see her trying to see if she can fly or something by jumping out of it. So I will try to keep that from happening! In Target this morning, I looked away to get something, and she was standing up in the cart. I tell you, she has no fear. I vow to learn more quickly and take the few extra minutes to find a cart with a working seat belt! Kalee is doing so well in her big girl bed. Yesterday and today I told her it was time for napping and she said OK. Then took off running for her room. By the time I got in there, she had herself in bed and covered up. She just looked at me and said Night, Night. It was too good to be true, I still had to lay with her until she fell asleep, but she is much easier that Peyton was. Peyton would fight you for hours. Kalee just lays there. She did hurt me today though. She was caressing my cheek, and the next thing I know, her thumb is as far up my nose as it could possibly go. She is smiling and saying "Nose," I have tears rolling down my face and am checking for blood. So watch out for her, she draws you in with her sweet little smile, then BAM her fingers up your nose or if your Matt, she's ripping out your arm hair!
