Better Day so Far...it's only 8:40 am

It is 8:40 in the morning and so far, knock on wood, we have had no break downs, no fits, and no crying. HOORAY!! Yesterday by this time, all hell had broken loose at least 3 times. So far so good! Kalee didn't sleep very much last night again. So I am pretty tired. I will be looking forward to nap time today. Hopefully we can all have a little snooze. It will be an early nap time today so that Peyton will be rested for her eye appointment. We were talking about it this morning and she seems pretty excited. Unfortunately, the Berenstain Bears don't go to the optometrist...at least not at the Burg library, so we have just been talking about things. I honestly don't really know what goes on at the optometrist. I only remember going a few times in my life...I have perfect vision. hehe! Keep your fingers crossed that she doesn't freak out. She gets very shy around new people and cries and won't let go of me. So we'll see!

Matt smacked my butt this morning and Peyton yelled at him not to hit Mommy! I said, yeah, that hurts, we don't hit each other! To which Peyton replied, Mommy, you are just a wimp! Great, even she knows the truth about me!

I turned on the TV this morning fully expecting nothing to show up because of the whole analog thing, but it was all there. Good for us, since I can't get PBS on the digital channels and the girls love their Clifford and Super Why in the morning. I wonder what will happen as the day goes on.

I really don't know too much this morning. I am going to pick up the house. Mom is coming over to watch Kalee Jo while we go to the eye doctor. So I don't want her to see how we really live. I don't want to have to take her to the ER because she tripped over some toy and broke her ankle! Maybe we will play a game and everyone will help. Actually, the girls are very good about picking up toys, so it won't be a big deal.

I figured out why my fingers were so cold yesterday. I had closed the vent down here so I didn't get so hot when I ran and forgot to open it back up. So it's back open and my fingers are not blue today! I have 5 weeks until the race. Should run 24 miles this week with a big run of 11 miles Saturday. Hopefully it will be nice out and I can do that outside. It sucks to be on a treadmill for a couple hours! I drove around the country to clock 11 miles the other day. I'll have to watch the new 24 hour weather channel with our fancy digital hookup and see what it's supposed to be like!

Stacey, were you on the news? I missed it, we were grocery shopping. Do they update you on your standings with everyone?

I remembered Hot Guy's name from the movie...Bradley Cooper. Sigh, I love him!

    Shelley, I get PBS on my TV through the converter! You better get yours checked out, because I actually get 3 different versions of it!

I hurt my back. It hurts bad. I can hardly nod my head without it hurting. I don't know what happened. But it hurts in case you didn't get that. Day 2

Day 2 went just as well as day 1 of Preschool. It seems too good to be true! Oh well, I'll take it! Peyton went right in and did her "jobs" (putting away her bag, folder and picking her drink). Then she went to play with a puzzle and read a book. No tears, no clinging, AWESOME!! Kalee was upset again that she didn't get to stay. She kept saying I want to play with the tractor puzzle at school. So she and I spent the morning playing outside. It's so funny how happy she is once we get home. I think she loves not having the competition for the toys or the bossiness that is Peyton telling her how to play! She had every baby out and every stroller with them. Plus, her tricycle, 4 wheeler, shopping cart, firetruck... I have a new TV obsession...Melrose Place. Sad, but true. I watched it last night and am hooked. Can't wait for next week! There may be a problem though...I think it is at the same time that DWTS is going to be on. Speaking of DWTS...di...

Sunny Monday

We had a fun day today. After Peyton got upset that Daddy and Pop were going to the ball park without her...it was a boys day...we decided to have a girls day. She told me that on girls days, you read stories and sing songs. Well, we haven't done any of those things yet, but we did swim a little in the freezing cold big pool. Then the girls swam in their little pool. They both brought their babies to the pools, so they had fun. I put the solar cover on the pool as soon as I got them out of it!! It's amazing that they don't ever think the water is cold! Peyton sliding with her baby Kalee "swimming." She sat in this little bucket for about 10 minutes! We had lunch and the girls napped. Then we went to the mall play place. I gave them the option of the playground and feeding the ducks or the play place. Peyton wanted the play place. Really, I think they have more fun playing on the little cars that move when you put money in them. They don't even need them to...
