Back at it!
I am a major slacker this week. I guess I missed Matt more than I care to admit. I just couldn't seem to get myself together last week. I don't know what was wrong with me. I admit that I even took a pregnancy test because I thought I might be pregnant...you know, since I was so stupid and forgetful all week. I am NOT pregnant, don't worry! I guess a week of single parenting is enough to make me lose my mind!

Matt made it back Sunday morning. He brought presents for the girls, they were so excited. He got them both dolls, Snow White for Peyton and Tinkerbell for Kalee, shirts, and necklaces and bracelets. I think it's so cute when he gets them stuff. Peyton sleeps with her Snow White, it is her favorite Princess, don't you know?!!
View from the Shack.
The best shot of the actual shack that he took.
The highlight of the trip seems to be catching a shark. Tyler officially caught it. It was about 5 feet long. They butchered (I don't know if this is what you call it for fish, but seems right...) it and found that it was a girl...had 4 babies in it's belly. So they got them out and put them in the water and they swam away. Crazy! They also went boar hunting, and Ty shot one, but mostly it sounds like they shot armadillo's.
We had Tara's baby shower Saturday. It ended up pretty nice, I think. She got so many nice things! We went to her house afterwards to help take all her gifts. We kind of unpacked everything and set it out on their table. It was a baby mountain! Ty probably came home and felt like the house had been taken over!
Tara took me to the Turkey Dinner Saturday night with Mark and Rachel. We had a fun time. Free prime rib dinner, Yummy! and free beer! We didn't win any guns, I was very disappointed! Some people won multiple guns...there should be a one gun win limit!!
Kalee is getting her teeth, still, it's never ending! But they are at least popping through these days. So she now has a nasty runny nose. I really think it is from the teeth, and not sickness. She is so grouchy though! It's driving me crazy! What happened to my sweet happy go lucky Kalee? She has started wanting to sit on the potty. So it has become a permanent fixture in our living room again. She likes to just sit on it and play. So that's good. She keeps pulling her diaper "down" enough to sit on the potty. Really, she pulls it down enough to show her butt crack and walks around like that. It's pretty funny. I am not as gung ho about potty training Kalee as I was Peyton. I hate it. It is one of the worst parenting responsibilities. SO FRUSTRATING. So if she's good with just sitting on it for now, I am too. We will work a little harder on it after her birthday in June.
Sunday, I went to Mom and Dad's to take Mom some stuff. The girls were with me and we were eating lunch. I think it is safe to say that I was at the end of my parenting patience! Peyton was being a turd, whining and throwing fits about everything. I told her it was time to stop, she was not being a very nice girl. She needed to be thankful to Nan for getting her lunch, not complain about everything...She popped back, "I'm just being rude." Well, Kid, if you know you're being rude... How does she even know that word? That was the end for me. I told dad that I give up and he could have her if he wanted. He said he would take her. Again, why, oh why did we teach her to talk????
Don't know much else I guess. Matt is back at work with the electrician's today. We have some insurance lady coming tonight. So I am trying to clean up the house a bit. It will be embarrassing enough to have someone here with our half finished painting, so I figure I can pick up a few toys! I can always watch Twilight for the 100th time while I clean, right? I have come to terms with the fact that I am bordering on pathetic with my movie obsession. Peyton even knows all about how Edward and Bella are in love and can recite some of the lines!
