Dancing With...Peyton and Kalee!!
The excitement continues in the Hinds' house with the return of our other favorite show...Dancing With the Stars!!! This is truly Peyton's favorite show, and maybe Kalee's now too.
They were both dancing around the living room tonight. It was pretty cute.

I am even more excited about this season because Holly is on the show. I love her. (Not as much as I love Bridget, but DEFINITELY more than Kendra!) She wasn't all that great tonight. I am going to give her the benefit of the doubt and hope for better things next week. She did only have 5 days to learn it all!! The Bull Rider was also the cutest thing ever. But I admit that I may have a thing for just about any bull rider/cowboy...it's that whole Oklahoma influence thing! I was very impressed by the Bachelor girl...until she said she had previous dance experience and was a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. OK, I am still pretty impressed.
Here is Peyton in her other "sensible" glasses.
These are the spare in case something happens to the sassy red ones. They are a pink wire frame, and what the doctor likes to see on the young kids. They stay up on her nose a little better than the others. I like them because they are flex frame, so she can bend them and they spring back. Actually, I am not too worried about her bending them, I am more worried about Kalee Jo ripping them off her face as she has done multiple times in the last three days. Peyton is doing very well with her glasses. She puts them on first thing in the morning and doesn't play with them or take them off. I was fixing her hair the other morning and told her to take them off because it would be easier to finish her hair. She said, "But Momma, I can't see without them on!" So I think it's safe to say that they are helping and she has noticed the difference. Though I am already tired of saying Push up your glasses, look through them, not over them! I figure this will be something that is repeated often in our household now.
We went to Girard yesterday for lunch and some Wii playing. Tara and Tyler were there. She looks so cute with her baby bump. The pictures she has posted are not doing her cute little belly justice. (I think Tara just said something like this about Peyton and her glasses. She's cuter in person. Well, the same is true for Tara!) We bowled on Wii. I am annoyed to report that Tara is just as good at video games as Matt. She beat me. Twice. I am holding on to the fact that I beat Tyler. But I would like to let everyone know that I am the Wii Beer Pong Master!! I rock! I killed Matt over and over and over. And not just a slight beating, no, it was a pure ass stomping. (I also have witnesses since Debbie and Kevin both were watching!) He threw his pong ball and missed, I threw mine and ran the table. He got one chance, I took 9 throws to clear my 10 cups. I have found my game! You all mark my words...he will come home and the first chance he has, he will be down here practicing until he thinks he can beat me. Then he will ask me to play. Just wait. He can't stand to lose! (obviously, neither can I, but I lose way more often than he does, so I am trying to learn to accept it!)
We then went on to Nan and Pop's for supper. I lucked out yesterday and didn't have to cook anything!! Matt needed to borrow a gun for boar hunting on his Florida trip. Dad, of course, has a few to choose from. We also shot my gun (finally) for the first time. It is a nice one! I can't wait for a nicer day so we can actually put out some targets and see what I am hitting! I love it!
We went to Springfield today. I needed to get some things for Tara's baby shower (If you haven't RSVP'd and are invited, please let me know if your coming...please!) Peyton walked around the whole babies 'r us store looking for something yellow to get Tara Jo. Nothing would do except for something yellow, "that's Tara's favorite, don't you know?" We also went to Barnes and Noble. Which according to Peyton was "Awesome! It's just like a library!!" She loves books so much! I was looking for Twilight on CD. I want to get it to put on my MP3 player to listen to while I run. They didn't have it, of course. Also, everything in the store is WAY more expensive than it is online. What's up with that? So we looked at kids books, then left when Kalee decided to turn into Little Miss Disturbance Girl and start screaming in the store. I am not sure what has happened to my sweet, happy go lucky Kalee, but something has. She is not the happiest thing here lately. I think it has a lot to do with her teeth. If they would just come in already, life would be good! (if it's not one thing, it's another...that's my life lesson of the day!)
Um... I will be at the baby shower! Sorry I"m a slacker.
