Afternoon at the Zoo
We went to the zoo this afternoon after school. We ate by the water...or as close as we could get at least.
This must be another Next Top Model Pose...I'm not sure!
They built a whole new huge playground out there and it is SO nice!! It has a soft, sort of spongy ground, no more mulch! Like Washington Park in Springfield, if anyone has ever been there. It has tons of slides and swings and areas for little kids. Plus, I felt like Kalee could actually play on it and she wasn't going to fall through a hole somewhere! It is very nice. We will definitely be going back soon. We also rode the carousel. We were in the playground, and Kalee saw the Horses and grabbed my hand to pull me closer. So we went in and they both rode. Peyton never likes to ride the animals that move. Her favorite spot is a bench on a sled thing. She is always very happy sitting still and riding around.
Kalee on the other hand, needed a horse and she didn't want to get off. She actually rode a tiger, but it was acceptable.
We went and looked at the animals. It's fun for Kalee to see it all again now that she is a little older and knows what they all are. The highlight for me was a baby lemur. It was riding on it's mommy's back. It was so cute! The highlight for the girls was and always is the train. Peyton LOVES it! Kalee threw a big fit when it was over and she had to get off.
We are going to dinner tonight with Mindy, Dougie, and Alex. I think Dougie is coming at least. Kalee will be happy if he does...after we leave and she doesn't say a word to him, she will probably talk about him all night! We are going to Guadalahara. Yummy!
Peyton has a new girl in her class. Her name is Mary Kate. So now, her doll is named Mary Kate. Another one is named Megan. She lives in Portland and is just visiting for a few weeks. She may be moving to North Carolina though! That's what Peyton was telling Kalee today anyway. She is so funny!
Not much else to tell around here. I am baking for trivia night. I am sure I'll be making cookies tonight after the girls go to bed!
Kari...look at Kate's blog! She has a picture of my hair.
1st...I cannot believe you could spell Guadalahara!!! I copied it from your blog!!! 2nd, aren't they funny about naming things? Jim told Ciara we were getting a puppy and she wanted us to name it Sponge-Bob, and if not that, Patty. Sad for Ciara, we didn't. And apparently, Papa and Grammy are no fun now!!! How those little minds work?!?!?!? We went to Tuscola today and Mrs Bobcat showed us where Matt's station is. It really was very cool to be able to identify it. It looks like a regular house!!!! Anyway, keep posting the pics, cuz I love 'em. Luv ya.
ReplyDeletePeyton looks like such a little lady sitting there riding the merry go round!!
