Grandparents Day at Preschool
Today was Grandparents visit day at Preschool. Grandma, Grandpa, Nan, Kalee and me all went to visit Peyton's classroom. I think she was pretty excited to have them all there. They got to see her room, hear her say her prayers, watch her paint, do her "9's" worksheets and play on the playground. We also went to the art fair in the gym and got to see her painting of flowers. Here are some pictures, though apparently I had a huge smudge on my lens and didn't know it, so there is a blurry spot on all of them. GRRR!! We met Daddy at Buffalo Wold Wings for a special lunch afterwards. He is teaching at Richland today, so he couldn't come to school.
Kalee loves going to school too!! She always tells us that "Peytee...school...backpack!!"
Hugging Everyone when she was done painting. As Nan pointed out, when she has a task to do, she is very intent upon finishing it. So when they all walked in, she was painting and didn't really pay much attention to us!
Showing Kalee and Papa her artwork!
Showing nan her painting. This is the first time Nan has seen her hair in person!
Singing "Open, Shut them, Open, Shut them...close them with a clap!!" to pray.
Now the girls are off to stay with Gma and Gpa for the night. Matt's captain's mom passed away on Wednesday after a heart attack. (I keep saying Captain...I guess I am not sure if that is right. He could be a lieutenant...whatever, not important. Matt's friend...) Her visitation is this evening in Belleville, so we are going to that. Then in the morning he is going to try to get my bathroom ready to paint. It is another of our ongoing (what's it been 4 months now!!) home improvements. We have popcorn ceilings in the bedrooms and my bathroom and it fell down on me one day in the shower. So he had to scrape it all off and re mud it. We are refinancing our mortgage, so have to have an appraiser come out. He thinks it needs to be finished before this guy comes. He also says he is going to finish replacing the light switches in the entry and get all of that finished except for the trim. Then we are off to see Molly Jo again!! They got to go home today, so I am anxious to get to finally hold her!! Sweet babe!!
I have to show off my tulips. I spent forever planting them around our two trees, along our entryway, and driveway last fall and they are almost all up and so pretty!! The funny thing is that I swore I planted multicolored ones...but I ended up with basically all white and then these 12 colored ones. Oh well. They make me happy!

I love tulips and yours are so pretty. Isn't grandparents day fun? I really don't know who is more excited, Grammy or grandbaby???? I love Peyton's glasses.
