I'm smarter than Goo Goo!
Oh, we've been busy here! I finally am taking the time to sit down and write!
I haven't been feeling good the last few days. I admit that Sunday, I was probably a little hung over. We had Trivia Night Saturday. It was a good time. I had to read the questions, which meant me in front of 12 teams of people, holding a microphone and trying not to throw up, sweat through my clothes, or cry. Public speaking is down at the bottom of my favorite list. Well, close to the very bottom, just above Snakes. So, I drank a few drinks. Now, I am a major light weight. I have always been. And anymore, I don't ever drink at all. So after about one, I was feeling more confident in my public speaking abilities. Who knew? All those stupid presentations in college...I apparently should have had a flask in my backpack all those years, and would have done much better! Anyway...like I said, I didn't feel too good Sunday. But it has since turned into a cold/sore throat/cough. It sucks. I can't sleep, so am so tired. Waa Waa!! Basically yesterday, I did nothing. The girls and I stayed in our jammies all day. It was nice!
We had a good turn out for Trivia. There were 12 teams. Team McHinds got 4th place. Matt traded to Team Ervin (our friends) and they got 3rd place. Everyone is complaining that the questions were too hard. As the person who made the questions, I say they are just babies...we can't all be as smart as Shelly. Seriously! I am mostly happy to rub it in to Goober. He has been smarter than me since the day I started dating his brother...13 years ago. What was he like 8? So I am just pretending like I really knew all the answers to the questions and am therefore way smarter than him! Love you Goober! I will try to make the questions easier next year. If we do it again. We ended up making $2100.00 So that is awesome!
I straightened Peyton's hair and curled it under today for the funeral. She looked so cute. She kept asking me while I was doing it "why are you ironing my hair with that hot thing?" Matt was cracking up.
We went to Orval Neff's funeral today. He is Matt's uncle Doug's dad. He passed away Saturday morning after a battle with cancer. He will be missed.
Well, They are weighing in on Biggest Loser, I need to pay attention. Go Kristin!
