Day 2 of the Better Blogging Me
Swim lessons went so much better yesterday. My plan of putting Kalee in Peyton's class went well. Peyton only cried a few tears as we were walking up to her group. Then when she realized that Kalee and I were joining her, she actually smiled! AMAZING!! So I joined the class too and we played ring around the rosy in the water, then I sat on the side of the pool next to Kalee while they both did everything expected of them. They even went to the splash pad area without me. NICE! I think it helped Peyton that a girl was the helper today, so there was a boy and girl teacher. Hopefully it will go as well today. It will probably be a little chilly this morning! There is no sun yet and the trusty iPhone (you like how I always mention it, Tara?? I know, total dork!) says it's only 63. Yikes!! I'm super glad I moved Kalee today so I don't have to get in any farther than my knees!!
We went to the park yesterday and played after lessons. The girls had a good time. Kalee is definitely growing up and is fearless on the playground. She climbs up the little steps, jungle gyms, hangs on the bars and swings, flings herself down the slides. This playground is nice because it is for 2-5 year olds, so everything is smaller and closer to the ground.
I think today we will do swim lessons and go to visit Daddy at the firehouse. Peyton and Kalee like to go there and get treats out of their treat stash. The pool is in the same park as his firehouse.
Oh--speaking of the firehouse, Mary...Matt told me to tell you that the Bobcat went on its first rescue run last week. There was an accident at the pool and the firetrucks can't get back there, there is a bridge they can't go over, so the Bobcat was on it! It will also be at work this weekend as Matt's crew has to sit on standby at the Rodney T. Miller Triathlon that goes through the park.
The girls thought they wanted to have a camp out on the living room floor last night, so we let them. They both fell asleep right away. I figured it would be fine. Any time Peyton stays at Nan and Pop's house, she sleeps in her "bedroom"...the living room. She loves it there. But she woke up around midnight crying that she wanted to go to her real bed. I took her. She had woken Kalee up with her crying, so I asked her is she wanted to move too. She yelled NO!! rolled over and went back to sleep.
Well, I should start getting ready for the day. Chiropractor!! Swim lessons (keep your fingers crossed), diapers, the bank, errands, errands, errands!
