My name is not Peyton, it is Birthday Girl!

Today is Peyton's 4th Birthday! Happy Birthday Peyton!!! She informed me today (as she did the other day at her birthday lunch) that we could call her Birthday Girl, Not Peyton. So I have been. I let her have a cupcake for breakfast. I know, horrible, but oh well. They don't ever eat things like that, so one time won't hurt, right? Right! I took the girls to the Children's Museum this morning. We played and played, then ate a picnic lunch, then played some more! Their favorite thing, as always, is the grocery store. They love to shop!! And always have their carts overflowing. There were a lot of people there today, so it was pretty loud. I have a headache now. Thank goodness for my darvoset. Please kick in soon!

We went to Target after the museum. Peyton's friend Kai gave her a gift certificate so I let her buy herself a birthday present. She got a Berenstain Bears movie (you'll have to come watch it, Aunt Kate!) and a Princess book. It makes me happy that of all the things she could have chosen, she picked a book over a toy! She LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to read!
She really wants to go bowling for her birthday, but I guess we are going to have to wait on that. Matt has softball tonight, so instead we are going to take her to McDonald's before the game for supper. It's so easy to please her!
I am making her cupcakes. Yes, Mandy, I made them. They are from a box, but I am making the icing from scratch. Is that better?
It is also Megan's birthday today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEG!! She and Peyton are birthday buddies! I hope you are having a good day Megan...or would you also like to be called Birthday Girl?? I love you!

I hurt my back. It hurts bad. I can hardly nod my head without it hurting. I don't know what happened. But it hurts in case you didn't get that. Day 2

Day 2 went just as well as day 1 of Preschool. It seems too good to be true! Oh well, I'll take it! Peyton went right in and did her "jobs" (putting away her bag, folder and picking her drink). Then she went to play with a puzzle and read a book. No tears, no clinging, AWESOME!! Kalee was upset again that she didn't get to stay. She kept saying I want to play with the tractor puzzle at school. So she and I spent the morning playing outside. It's so funny how happy she is once we get home. I think she loves not having the competition for the toys or the bossiness that is Peyton telling her how to play! She had every baby out and every stroller with them. Plus, her tricycle, 4 wheeler, shopping cart, firetruck... I have a new TV obsession...Melrose Place. Sad, but true. I watched it last night and am hooked. Can't wait for next week! Sunny Monday

We had a fun day today. After Peyton got upset that Daddy and Pop were going to the ball park without her...it was a boys day...we decided to have a girls day. She told me that on girls days, you read stories and sing songs. Well, we haven't done any of those things yet, but we did swim a little in the freezing cold big pool. Then the girls swam in their little pool. They both brought their babies to the pools, so they had fun. I put the solar cover on the pool as soon as I got them out of it!! It's amazing that they don't ever think the water is cold! Peyton sliding with her baby Kalee "swimming." She sat in this little bucket for about 10 minutes! We had lunch and the girls napped. Then we went to the mall play place. I gave them the option of the playground and feeding the ducks or the play place. Peyton wanted the play place.
