Wednesday
There's not much new going on here today. I know exactly where my phone is, so that's good.
I have spent the morning painting. FINALLY getting my bathroom finished. Jeez, it's been like 6 months! I finished painting the ceiling and now need to touch up the wall edges. Then I think I can officially move back in there! Matt put up a new light fixture this weekend. It is so pretty! Not nasty, outdated and ugly like that last one was!! I also started painting the trim in the basement. Just in the entry area. I am going to paint those two walls the green that the stairway is painted. It will look better than the blue that is there right now! I really hate painting trim. It is just tedious! It will look better at least. Hopefully Matt can finish up the basement repairs and I can get the rest of the family room painted as well.
The girls have been happily playing house with their dollies. Their house is the toy box which they have completely emptied. Peyton is bossing Kalee around as usual, but they are having a pretty good day. Maybe we will go to the park later. Matt is working overtime at the airport station. It is by the zoo and they have that nice playground there now. He just called and asked for clothes and lunch for tomorrow, so we have to go over there anyway.
Peyton has been wetting the bed a lot recently. It's so frustrating to have to wash sheets over and over again. I don't know what her deal is. So she is not going to bed with a drink anymore and she has to potty right before she goes to bed (she gets really mad when you tell her she has to go potty. It's fun!). We'll see if that helps.
We stopped with Kalee's potty training for awhile. She started crying when we tried to put her on the potty, so I really don't want her to be afraid of the potty. We will hold off. She does like her Dora pull ups, but doesn't get that she isn't supposed to pee in them. I hate potty training! Well, that's enough talk of potty.
We didn't go to swim lessons. They could care less. Are actually happier than they've been in days. So I don't feel too bad about it. Lesson learned...I am never signing them up for any kind of class again. If I say I am going to, please remind me of the disasters that were swim lessons and dance class. Thank you.
I have been getting my stuff together for a garage sale in Girard this weekend. I actually have a lot of stuff. The van is getting pretty full. Hopefully I can make some money so I can buy the new curtains I've had my eye on for the last 4 months!
I have no quotes from today, but I will leave you with Peyton's quote of the day from this weekend. Matt and I were talking and he was showing me just how much money we have lost from his retirement funds...I said well, son of a!! Didn't finish it. Didn't have to. Peyton pipes up from the living room, "Son of a BITCH!!" Entirely my fault, I know that I say that one. OOPS! I thought Matt was going to die laughing, all while trying not to laugh. I tried very hard not to laugh while telling her that she shouldn't say that. At least she didn't pull a Kate and say "well, you say it all the time!" like Kate said about dad after yelling her first curse word!
