Oklahoma
We are in Oklahoma!! After a pretty rough start to our road trip. Kalee tried to poke her eye out with a book and scared me half to death, then Peyton threw up...twice! All over herself and her seat in the van. But we made it here and have been enjoying ourselves.
Katie and Jeromy gave the girls fishing poles! They have a pond and Jeromy has been building a dock just so they could fish! Peyton started with a Princess one, but it broke...the pictures of Katie wading out into the pond! So she now has a Barbie one that does not float! We found that out and Jeromy had to go in after it! Good thing the pond is pretty low right now! Kalee has a Dora one. They both are having a lot of fun casting and reeling them in. They don't have real hooks, just little weights on the end for practice. Katie caught a real fish and dropped it on the dock. The girls did NOT like it flopping around, so we will just stick to the weights for now!
We went into Stillwater today and had lunch at Charlie's Chicken. Yummy! I was standing in line waiting to order and this family with little boys comes in. They get in line after me and I notice that the boys are both holding huge fake snakes. They were whipping them around and getting too close to me, so I had to get out of line and go sit and wait for a few minutes. I was having a minor panic attack and thought I was going to start crying. Katie was totally making fun of me. Then the snake kids sit in the booth right beside us...JEEZ!!
We drove around and looked at campus. It is amazing how much it has changed. There are tons of new buildings and the new stadium is gorgeous. Our old neighborhood has been completely bulldozed to make way for the new athletic complex. Most of the houses were bought and moved. It's crazy to see a 5 block square that was all houses when I was here turn into nothing but an open field.
The girls spent the afternoon playing in the sprinkler and pool that we got them. They had a good time. Jeromy's dog, Bocephus, had a blast playing in the water. I'm not sure who had more fun, him or the girls!
Now Katie is making us stroganoff, Kalee is playing with her babies, and Peyton and Jeromy are watching Cinderella. He is so cute with them Very nice to them both!
Well, I think dinner is almost ready. We go to Kansas tomorrow to stay with Emmy and Marc for the night! I can't wait to see Hunter and meet Hayden!! I'm pretty excited!
