Catch up...

Well, we've been home from Oklahoma for a few weeks now, so I guess I should get back in the swing of things here at home!

The girls had so much fun playing in the kiddie pool and sprinkler while we were there...here are a few of my favorite action shots!!

We had a great trip. It was so good to see Katie and Jeromy and get to spend so much time with them! We went wedding dress shopping for Katie and she found a beautiful dress! We also found a bridesmaid dress for me. It's very pretty. Short and perfect for the beach! It's color is called Mermaid...which is funny because when we were looking at the catalogs, I was making fun of that color name and then we saw it and both love it! The wedding date is set...February 9, 2010! Our trip reservations are made!! We are going to go for 6 days! So I can not wait for February so we can be on the beach in Riviera Maya, Mexico!!

We went to Peyton's open house/orientation thing last week. She will be in the same classroom, but have a new teacher this year. So she got to meet her teacher...Mrs. Richard. Mrs. Kupish, the aide, was in the room last year. Peyton ran up and gave her a big hug when she saw her! I would say the visit went well. I am always nervous because I never know how Peyton will react. She was excited to see all the new things in the room and to get her school supply list. So we went shopping and got all her school supplies. She is very excited to go back to school. Keep your fingers crossed that the excitement continues and we don't have a repeat of the first day last year. The day that will forever be burned into my heart...with her sobbing and begging me now to leave her there. That day was pretty horrible in my mommy book! She starts September 8th. She will go Monday through Wednesday mornings. Three days instead of the two she went last year.
Matt has been home 3 days this week. Very unusual for us. He had two Kelly days-Monday and Thursday and ended up off today as well. I was so thankful he was off Monday. I woke up with the flu and ended up in bed all day long. Yuck! He had his last summer season slow pitch softball game last night. But now will start fall season with the fire department team.
If the weather cooperates, we are going to go to Lincoln tonight to watch the hot air balloons go off. We've gone the last 2 years. It's really fun to watch. Then tomorrow we are going to go on a police and fire poker run. Nan is going to come watch the girls for the afternoon and I guess we will ride to Springfield, Lincoln, Decatur...a couple other places...I don't really know. It should be interesting. I haven't been on the bike this summer at all and was only on a few times last summer. My butt will be sore by the time we are done, I am sure!
Well, the girls are napping, so I think I will challenge Matt to a game of Guess Who...I have been kicking his butt at it lately and want to keep the streak alive! (yes, we are total dorks!)
