Dentist!
We had a super exciting day yesterday. The girls went to the dentist for the first time. We are going to Dr. Jerger, a pediatric dentist in Decatur. I am so happy with his office! It is all decorated in Disney! Disney movie posters and pictures all over the walls and paintings of Disney characters brushing their teeth (what else?)!! All of the employees have name tags with Mickey Mouse, like they wear at Walt Disney World! Kalee was in Mousy heaven! Mousy even came with her for the visit and Dr. Bret told her how much he loved Mickey! The office had all sorts of toys to play with while they waited, then we got taken back for a tour of the office and so that we could meet all the friends who worked there. The girls were shown around and introduced to everyone. There is a big room with all the chairs in it...all with huge flat screen TVs playing different Disney movies! Kalee got to go first and jumped right up in her chair! She was amazing, I was so proud of her!! Peyton had a little trouble...it reminded me a lot of the first day of preschool all over again. But they picked her up and took her to a chair and got her started. I went out to the waiting room to wait. They came out a few minutes later to tell me that they both were doing so well and they had gotten their x-rays. Since they were doing so well, they went ahead and cleaned their teeth also. I got to go back and peek in at Peyton while she got hers cleaned. She was doing GREAT!! They both told me all about it after and were pretty excited about their goody bags...toothbrushes, flossers, stickers (Mousy for Kalee...I am telling you, she was in heaven!! Princesses for Peyton! They know how to treat little girls!) and toy tops. All in all, I would call it a success with only minor heartbreak (mostly for me...though I didn't cry...be proud of me!) at the beginning!
We went to Girard last night and took Peyton to Sharon to get her flower girl dress altered for Mindy's wedding. It is too long so needs hemmed and the straps need taken in. She is very excited about her princess dress. Mindy, you will be happy to hear that she did not mention purple once during the whole thing!!
We went to school to visit grandma and the girls had fun playing office...answering phones and typing on the computer. Peyton was even filling out tardy slips! We also got to play with Tara and Molly Jo a little bit while we were there. Even got to go to DiCarlos for dinner! Yummy! Then we were off to Pawnee to give Pop a hair cut and visit a little bit.
Today I planned on doing nothing. NOTHING!! But then decided to call the doctor for the third time about Kalee's little bootie. She has a rash thing that we went to the doctor for 2 weeks ago. They told us she had hand foot and mouth disease. But it never cleared and was really never on her hands, feet, or mouth! Just her bootie cheeks, and now her chest and arm pits. So she says now it is some kind of infection and maybe a fungal thing?? So Kalee is on antibiotics for the next 10 days. Hopefully it will help.
I guess I have been listening to the new Ragweed CD a little excessively...Kalee was playing the other day and I heard her singing "Don't drag me along!!" over and over. Tara, Ty, Goo and Matt...may be the only ones who will appreciate that!
Matt and I are off to the Cards game tomorrow! Should be fun. We are going with his friend Bob, a firefighter and his girlfriend. we get to be in the Coke Party Patio! It should be awesome!
Well, the girls are both up and want to go play outside, so I am off!
I want to hear her sing pretty lady! haha too funny!!
