Pawnee, Girard, Golf and Glasses
It's been another busy weekend in the 'Burg. Well, actually, I guess we weren't in the 'Burg at all the entire weekend, so another busy weekend in Pawnee and Girard...
We went to Pawnee Saturday. Matt helped Pop finish some plumbing jobs that they had started on a few weeks ago. I really wanted to make some salsa, but there were no tomatoes to be had at Walter's house, so it was a no go. I guess I will have to buy tomatoes from a roadside stand. I am really wanting some salsa! Megan was telling me that she made some and it got me craving it! Kate came over also and I got to see Lily Bug!! I was missing her. It's been over a month since I saw her last! She is crawling and dancing...so adorable! She also has so much hair! She is definitely going to take after her momma, not daddy, with her dark hair!
We spent the night in Girard. Orval's Memorial golf outing (Matt's uncle Doug's dad, who passed away this year after a battle with cancer) was yesterday and Matt played in both the morning and afternoon. Yes, he was wound by the time it was over...drinking and golfing all day will do that to him! There were so many people out there and it really seemed like everyone was having a good time! It was really nice! However, we didn't get home until after 9 last night and Peyton had school this morning. So, it was a struggle to get her ready and going. But once we got to school, there were no problems! YAY!!! It will be an early night tonight and I don't think we will be spending many more Sundays away from home or out so late. It's entirely too frustrating for me the next day!
I think the highlight of my day was getting to watch Molly Jo while Debbie went to walk through an open house. I had all three girls, but mine were in bed, so I got to cuddle with Molly! She is such a sweetie!
I took the girls to Tuscola today after school to get Peyton new shoes. So she has some new tennis shoes and I also found Kalee some cute brown Mary Jane's to wear to Mindy's wedding. Now I guess I just need to get Peyton some shoes for the wedding and both of them an outfit for the rehearsal. Plus, I guess Matt and I need something to wear. Matt's dress clothes wardrobe is severely lacking...as in he doesn't have one!
Matt got glasses last week. He is farsighted and has a astigmatism. He had been having blurry vision and headaches, but if you know him at all, you know he would rather tough it out than go to a doctor and admit a weakness! It finally got bad enough and he went. I'll have to post a picture later, I don't have one right now! But I think he looks very handsome! I guess that helps explain Peyton's eyes a little more!
Wow, I feel really boring this post! Sorry!
