Birthdays, halloween, redecorating and nothing!
I have finally recovered from our trip to Oklahoma. It was a quick and tiring trip!!
We went to Mandy's for dinner and cupcakes for Adam's 5th birthday Monday. I can't believe he's 5! It seems like just yesterday Stacey and I were in Oklahoma and got the call that Mandy was in labor. That was the longest ride home!
The girls and I didn't do much this week. Kate asked me to come and redo her living room. So Kalee and I did a lot of shopping while Peyton was at school. We went to Kate's Friday and spent the day. We rearranged, got her new curtains, and hung her pictures and things. I think it turned out pretty cute! It looks so much more spacious!
The girls had fun playing with Lily. She was pretty tired by the time we left, I think. She didn't want to miss anything and wouldn't take a nap! She is such a dancer! Pop came for lunch and had her on the table. She was sitting there wiggling her booty around! I took her the bouncing zebra that the girls had and she liked it. We put her on it and showed her how to ride it and bounce and pretty quickly she was bouncing like a mad woman!!
We carved our pumpkins Thursday night. We had 4 to do plus the girls had these Mr. Potato Head Pumpkin sets that they used on their little pumpkins. Kalee's pumpkin is Minnie Mouse (she is going to be Minnie Mouse for Halloween!!). Peyton's is Snow White...her favorite! Mine says Boo with eyes all over and Matt's is a spiderweb with spiders. Matt carved them all. He used his dremmel! He was completely covered in Pumpkin goo by the time he finished! But they look so cool!! Peyton helped me hollow out the pumpkins. Kalee wouldn't touch the innards! I got Peyton's costume ordered. She really wants to be Strawberry Shortcake! She is pretty excited about it. Please let it get here in time!!
Matt has the whole weekend off. AND...we have NOTHING to do! It is so great!!! I can't tell you the last time we did nothing all weekend. Yesterday they just played at home all day. I got to go run some errands ALL ALONE!! It was awesome! Today I am going to try to get some more scrapbooking done. I bought some cute things at Hobby Lobby yesterday. (Tara--I found the cutest embellishment...it's a coconut drink! It will be perfect for our coconut cruise drinks picture!!!)
I am also super excited about some Christmas presents I got. (That's right, Denny, still shopping...I know, you're disappointed in me!) Target had all sorts of Mickey Mouse and Strawberry Shortcake things in their $1.00 bin! Stocking stuffers...DONE!!
Well, I have cute pictures...but for some reason they won't upload again today. I'll work on it.
