Parade, Parade, Parade!!
We have gone to two homecoming parades in the past two weeks. First we went to the final Girard Homecoming Parade with Tara, Molly, and Grandma. The girls had fun waving to the people and of course getting candy. Kalee wouldn't leave her stroller, so we just piled her candy on top of her. She had a lot by the time it was over! Molly wore a Girard cheerleading outfit! It's the one that Peyton used to wear to Goober's football games! She was pretty stinking cute!

We went to the Pawnee parade yesterday. I have to say it was pretty sad. I remember it being was longer and more impressive. It was so short. The kids all had fun though and still got more than enough candy! It was fun that all of the next generation of McTaggart kids were there. Davis and Mae, Kenzie, Adam and Ava, Lily, and Peyton and Kalee. We realized that we have one for every year since 2004.
Peyton, Adam, Kalee, Lily and Ava waiting for the parade to start!
(I think I took 15 pictures...proving it is nearly impossible to get 8 kids under the age of 6 to look at the camera at the same time!)

Matt and I also went to Ron Ervin's funeral yesterday. (He is my good friend Tim's dad. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in March and went through chemo. a few weeks ago he ended up in the hospital with pnemonia and they also found the cancer was in his liver.) It was a very nice service. All three of the kids spoke and had such nice speeches. Mom and I went to the visitation Tuesday. They said that over 1600 people went through the line. I hope he knew how many lives he had touched.
School remains a struggle for us. It is not as bad as it was last week when I vented on here. Peyton just does not do well with seperations. So her teacher now comes right to her when we get there and takes her hand and talks to her while I leave. It just breaks my heart.
I got bored today and decided to move around the basement. We had a couch down here that is now on the curb...the trash man was supposed to come pick it up this morning, but hasn't. He'll have a heavy couch to lift when he does finally make it here since it has been raining all day. I moved the bowflex out of our bedroom and put it down here. Now I have my little work out area where the couch used to be! We are also going to bring in my scrapbooking desk and get rid of this little computer desk. I was complaining to Matt that I am 3 years behind on scrapbooking the girls' lives. So hopefully this winter, I can work on it more easily without freezing in the garage! I also cleaned as I moved...I am embarassed to admit that there were major cobwebs all around the corners. Yuck! Guess I have been letting it slip down here since we've been outside all summer!
Mary emailed me today to see if I was watching Biggest Loser! OF COURSE!!!! But I did miss more than half of this weeks episode since we were at the visitation. I think I must have missed some juicy stuff! They are not very happy with the purple sick girl! But how sweet was it that the guy and girl that have gotten kicked off are now together? I, of course, feel so horrible for Abby...the one who lost her husband and children. What a horrible story. I am sort of rooting for the young guy who got kicked off last season and got to come back. I haven't been watching Dancing With the Stars at all. We don't get channel 20 on our super crappy TV! (I really don't live for TV...I truly only watch this one show religiously! I swear! Trust me, with out crappy TV reception, I don't have the patience for anything else!)
