Randomness from Oklahoma

Our trip to Oklahoma and Kansas was Great.
We had a fabulous time visiting Katie and Jeromy and seeing everyone at the Redneck Bash.
I have tons of pictures from our trip and have decided to start with the random ones...
Random thoughts about Oklahoma...

The Formal Gardens at OSU.
Pretty special place to me...
Matt proposed to me on the left circle flower bed.
At least I'm pretty sure that's what happened.
I don't remember anything he said...
These signs annoy me.
They are before every bridge in the state.
Common Sense?
I would think so.
Katie says no, not around here.
Oklahoma can be slightly backwards.
I guess this place isn't in Oklahoma.
It's Sandstone Gardens in Joplin, MO.
But I remember when they built it.
I think it is so beautiful.
I pass it twice every time we go to Oklahoma.
Some day I will stop and check it out.
Oklahoma really is pretty.

Katie and Jeromy live at the end of this "road".
There are many such "roads" in Oklahoma as far as I can tell.
Imagine turning on this road for the first time at midnight.
It is dark and you are voluntarily turning down what looks to be a deserted gravel path.
I did this the first time I went to their house.
I had my kids with me.
I don't watch scary movies, but it felt to me like a scene straight out of one!
MMMMM!!
My favorite restaurant of all time.
Cherokee Strip.
I love this place and always eat here once when visiting.
The BEST BBQ ever.
The BEST!!
I miss OSU football games.
They are kind of a big deal.
So much fun.
Boomer Lake.
Running trail around it.
I wanted to run it while I was there, but 105 degree heat indexes turn me off running.
There is this "Country Club", (and I use the term lightly) on the way to Katie's house.
It is on a little lake outside of Stillwater.
They have this pond that is covered in Lily Pads.
I think it is so pretty.
The flowers were all blooming.

I Hurt

I hurt my back. It hurts bad. I can hardly nod my head without it hurting. I don't know what happened. But it hurts in case you didn't get that. I took some drugs and have been laying on a heating pad, so it is feeling a little better. I need to run, but just don't know if that will happen tonight. This puts a cramp in my training! Day 2

Day 2 went just as well as day 1 of Preschool. It seems too good to be true! Oh well, I'll take it! Peyton went right in and did her "jobs" (putting away her bag, folder and picking her drink). Then she went to play with a puzzle and read a book. No tears, no clinging, AWESOME!! Kalee was upset again that she didn't get to stay. She kept saying I want to play with the tractor puzzle at school. So she and I spent the morning playing outside. It's so funny how happy she is once we get home. I think she loves not having the competition for the toys or the bossiness that is Peyton telling her how to play! She had every baby out and every stroller with them. Plus, her tricycle, 4 wheeler, shopping cart, firetruck... I have a new TV obsession...Melrose Place. Sad, but true. I watched it last night and am hooked. Can't wait for next week! There may be a problem though...I think it is at the same time that DWTS is going to be on. Speaking of DWTS...di...

Sunny Monday

We had a fun day today. After Peyton got upset that Daddy and Pop were going to the ball park without her...it was a boys day...we decided to have a girls day. She told me that on girls days, you read stories and sing songs. Well, we haven't done any of those things yet, but we did swim a little in the freezing cold big pool. Then the girls swam in their little pool. They both brought their babies to the pools, so they had fun. I put the solar cover on the pool as soon as I got them out of it!! It's amazing that they don't ever think the water is cold! Peyton sliding with her baby Kalee "swimming." She sat in this little bucket for about 10 minutes! We had lunch and the girls napped. Then we went to the mall play place. I gave them the option of the playground and feeding the ducks or the play place. Peyton wanted the play place. Really, I think they have more fun playing on the little cars that move when you put money in them. They don't even need them to...
