Water, Driveway, and an Address plus School!!

Yesterday was a VERY busy day at the Homestead!

We had the Well Driller come out to drill the well!
On Tuesday, Mark came out and he, Pop, Stacey, Kate and I all tried our hands at witching.
Mark is good at it.  So is Pop.
Kate could do it too! (I told her she could have a new profession!)
Stacey and I...not so much!
The Well Guy came and we confirmed the drilling spot...He, Mark, Pop and Kate all agreed it needed to be in the Northwest corner of the property.
He got set up and started digging right away.
They drilled a little, dumped the bucket, then went back for more.
I wish Adam could have been there to see it!  He would have LOVED IT!!
They hit rock at 32' and couldn't go any further.
Thankfully...They hit water around 17'!!
The center picture here shows the water and the well!!
He was shining a mirror to reflect off the water.
I could also see the water pouring in from the 17' depth.
It was pretty neat to watch.
We also got our first round of Driveway Rock yesterday morning.
We have really been making Mark earn his keep!
He spread it all out for us!
He's the greatest!
So we now have a rough driveway...but good enough for construction vehicles!
We also got an address yesterday.
I'm not putting it on here.
If you want to know...get ahold of me!
Now we need to get a mailbox!
Matt is going to make one...He is thinking a bent pipe covered in a firehose.
He has is drawn up.
I didn't know what it was...but I'm sure it will be great.


In other news...
Peyton went to school with no tears the last two days.
Thank goodness!
She is now friends with one of the teachers who helps with the kids in the mornings in the gym.
So she is happy to go say hi to her every morning.
She even drew her a picture today.  So sweet!

Kalee Jo went to Preschool Screening.
Oh I am just having a hard time with this!
My babies both in school!!
Kalee had a blast!  She went right in with the teachers and did all she was supposed to without any tears.
Wow...what a change that is!
She is VERY excited and can't wait to start school with her "Best Friend Ava!"
I have pictures, but that will be another post.
They are on Kate's camera...I have to figure that one out!

Oh...and I'm so annoyed.
My new camera is on back order.
I won't have it for a month...A MONTH!!!
I want it NOW!!!

I Hurt

I hurt my back. It hurts bad. I can hardly nod my head without it hurting. I don't know what happened. But it hurts in case you didn't get that. Day 2

Day 2 went just as well as day 1 of Preschool. It seems too good to be true! Oh well, I'll take it! Peyton went right in and did her "jobs" (putting away her bag, folder and picking her drink). Then she went to play with a puzzle and read a book. No tears, no clinging, AWESOME!! Kalee was upset again that she didn't get to stay. She kept saying I want to play with the tractor puzzle at school. So she and I spent the morning playing outside. It's so funny how happy she is once we get home. I think she loves not having the competition for the toys or the bossiness that is Peyton telling her how to play! She had every baby out and every stroller with them. Plus, her tricycle, 4 wheeler, shopping cart, firetruck... I have a new TV obsession...Melrose Place. Sad, but true. I watched it last night and am hooked. Can't wait for next week! There may be a problem though...I think it is at the same time that DWTS is going to be on. Speaking of DWTS...di...

Sunny Monday

We had a fun day today. After Peyton got upset that Daddy and Pop were going to the ball park without her...it was a boys day...we decided to have a girls day. She told me that on girls days, you read stories and sing songs. Well, we haven't done any of those things yet, but we did swim a little in the freezing cold big pool. Then the girls swam in their little pool. They both brought their babies to the pools, so they had fun. I put the solar cover on the pool as soon as I got them out of it!! It's amazing that they don't ever think the water is cold! Peyton sliding with her baby Kalee "swimming." She sat in this little bucket for about 10 minutes! We had lunch and the girls napped. Then we went to the mall play place. I gave them the option of the playground and feeding the ducks or the play place. Peyton wanted the play place. Really, I think they have more fun playing on the little cars that move when you put money in them. They don't even need them to...
