Laundry...How to keep your kids happy while you do it.

I had a puker Saturday night.
I'm not surprised since it seems the flu is going around (Ava and Kalee have both had it).
Thankfully Daddy was there to clean up the initial mess.
I had to get Peyton's comforter washed though, so off to the laundromat we went.
Mom told the girls they could stay home with her.
They declined.
"We've NEVER been to the Laundromat!!  We WANT to go!"
Such enthusiasm!
So here is how we stayed busy while the clothes washed...just as well do everything if we were going to be there right?
Those super duper load all you can into them washers are awesome!

First, bring an Aunt.
They are good fun and entertaining.
Especially Aunt Stacey.
Bring two kids who are in a surprisingly good mood despite time change and before mentioned sickness.

Bring supplies...
Art project...we made owls.
Writing practice...we love dry erase boards!
Scissors, crayons, colored pencils, glue...

Bring Snacks!
Popcorn from Trick or Treating!

And drinks from Casey's.

Kalee working diligently on her cutting and gluing.

Peyton running away so I can't take her picture.

Kalee thinking that looks like fun...way better than cutting and gluing.

Cutting practice and coloring.

Then, if the older one gets bored, let her use the camera.
"Mommy, do you want me to take your picture so we can remember this?"
"Yes, Peyton, I'd love a picture of me in sweats and ill-fitting, doesn't cover the baby bump t-shirt while I fold laundry!  Thanks!"

Peyton took all the rest of these.
They make me laugh.
Maybe I (Santa) should look into a camera for her for Christmas!

All in all, I consider it a nice time at the Laundromat.
There was no whining, crying or fighting.
Not even from Aunt Stacey.
They had fun!
