Pictures From the Last Week

Friday night, Tara, Kate and I went out to dinner at Los Agaves. It was their anniversary, so they had half price drinks...notice the pina colada's and margaritas! They also had a mariachi band! They came to our table and serenaded us. Kate told them to play us something snappy! Mom and Dad also ate there that night...Their usual Friday night dinner!! Their anniversary was Saturday so Mom told them to play something for their anniversary! After dinner we went to see New Moon!! Kate had got us tickets in advance...thank goodness since they were sold out all night long. We got there about half an hour before the show and they were lined up waiting to get in. So by the time we got in there, we had to sit in the very front row. It's not easy to watch a movie from the front row, let me tell you. Especially when you had some half price margaritas before...there were a few times when we all felt a little sick from the camera movement. Saturday, Matt and I took the girls to see ...

Heart Murmur

Good news...Peyton's heart murmur is gone. The doctor was actually there today and says she thinks it was just a growth thing. So it's nice to not worry about it anymore!

I spoke too soon...

I shouldn't have bragged about Peyton doing well at school. Wednesday she was very upset and cried. Mrs. Richard had to pry her off of me. Then I stood outside (torturing myself) seeing what she would do once I left. After 5 minutes (and school starting), I decided I should probably leave. She was still being cuddled by Mrs. Richard and was still crying. Guess it was a bad day. I also spoke too soon when I said Kate and Steve were going to get to go to Mexico. They can't go. I'm disappointed, but understand. It's a lot of money. Mom and Dad are still going! We will still have an amazing time! Katie was telling me that with her wedding package, they get spa treatments for two. She is 100% sure that Jeromy will NOT be wanting a spa treatment. He is much like Matt, NOT AT ALL a person who would do anything that would be construed as gay! So we are hoping we can do it instead! Nothing like a romantic massage on the beach with your best friend! HA! My New Mo...

Good Day

I feel like Peyton has had a bit of a break through at school. Mrs. Kupish pulled me aside this morning and told me that Peyton is really opening up in class now. She eats snack (she wasn't eating it for the longest time), she is interacting with the other kids, and she is talking! She said she even talks without being prompted to talk! I told her THANK GOODNESS!! She said yesterday Peyton was a little magpie. I said well, that is the Peyton we know! She never is quiet! So hopefully things will continue to go well and she will just get better as the day goes on. We went to the circus this weekend. It was very fun. It's so neat to watch the kids and how excited they get! Kalee can't stop talking about the baby and mommy elephant. Peyton loved the girl who rode the swing under the motorcycle! The only downer was the huge python they had in the center ring to take souvenir pictures with. YUCK!! Pretty sure I did not get a picture. I just sat there sweating wish...

LONG day...

Today has been the longest day ever! We got up and took Peyton to school. Then Kalee and I came home and she played while I worked out. Then we went to get Peyton at school. Came home, had lunch. Told the girls we were going to go get their flu shots after lunch. Peyton freaked out. Immediately started crying and saying she didn't want a shot. I got her calmed down with the promise of Dairy Queen after the shots. We went to County Health Department for their shots. Oh, what a joy the County Health Department is...what a joy! It took us an hour and a half to get their shots. They got both the normal vaccine and the H1 N1 (mom you'll be happy to hear!). Luckily, there were two ladies in the room giving the shots at the same time. Peyton FREAKED out, crying and screaming hysterically. She scared Kalee to death and Kalee started crying. I felt bad that they were freaking out so much, but I guess those ladies are used to it. While we were waiting, the kids before us...

Halloween

Image
The girls had a fun Halloween. Kalee wore her Minnie Mouse costume and Peyton was Strawberry Shortcake! I think they were adorable! We went to Grandma Joan's Saturday for lunch and they wore their costumes there. Matt and I took them trick or treating that night. We ended up only going to 3 houses. But the last house the lady said she was done and basically gave all her candy to the girls. So they got tons! They just weren't too sure about strangers giving them candy! (which I guess is a good thing!) The Warrensburg Fire Department has a Halloween parade every year. They put all the trucks in it and walk handing out tons of candy. So we went to that and they got even more! Who really needs so much candy? Though it is nice for potty training...Kalee says "if I tinkle can I have candy?" Heck ya! The girls and I spent yesterday afternoon raking leaves. Now, I think there is just really no point to raking leaves. It's stupid. Whoever was the idiot who said wow, I t...
